    Hampton bay ceiling fan hardware
Trying to remove a hampton bay ceiling fan. Cannot figure how to separate it from the ceiling. Assumed maybe required to twist counterclockwise a fraction of a turn to get it down. But no luck. No visibility into the hardware used to suspend the fan, motor, etc. No obvious screws or bolts to attack.

Some fans have a decorative cover that hides the screws near the ceiling. It does indeed twist and unlock.
