    Selfish or not?
Well I went back to her and things were better, then she got worse fast. I ended it 3 weeks ago after 4 and a half yrs. I think the selfish and mean and rude in her won't go away. I was on my way to her house and usually call her after work, I called from 4 till seven and no answer, finally at 7 she calls from the bar, ask what I want and she's on the way home, I ask why didn't you answer and say you were there and I would have stayed home, she says she don't have to, no repect at all. So the final straw was 3 weeks ago she was going to watch her dads band play and her family and friends and some of my friends were going, but she says I'm not going. And if I do show up she will leave and dump me. And from here on out I won't be going out to any places with her like that again. You see when we go to cookouts, partys things like that she tells me even know we are a couple she's not my entertainment or babysitter, if she talks to me then OK, if not don't whine. Well after 4-5 hrs of being ignored I get upset, not in public but later. There is never any we, its her, how she feels and wants. Well I told her I was going anyway, then I grew up, grew some balls and told her I won't be there and I never want to be in the same place as her again and she will never hear from me again. And I left. Its 3 weeks now and no contact at all. Looking back at everything I know it was my fault for letting her walk all over me, its like she felt good about doing it. Can someone please explain why people are like that? Do they really think what they are doing is OK? Instead of working anything out it was easier for her to dump me. I'm understanding things better and joined a church and won't go back this time. Church has done me good, I'm not sure ill ever hear from her again, I doudt it. She could walk all over me and as soon as I stick up for myself she would say she's sick of my crap, and I know getting me back is not big on her list when she can get someone else to mistreat. But when they can't have someone does it deflat their ego? Or what?

People are this way because people allow them to be this way. They love doormats and think you are their genie because their wish are their command.

I glad you grow a pair of bal and left this situation and don't ever put yourself in this situation again.

Ok, here's the thing. My girlfriend and I have been going out close to a year. (9 months and twelve days to be exact.) and today is my birthday (I turn 22) and I was wondering if I hypothetically if I were to ask her if she were ready to have sex, would that make me look like "one of those guys"...

Am I selfish? [ 5 Answers ]

I am doing a lot of soul-searching these days after a bad breakup. I always had considered myself to be a very giving person, because I agreed to move when my ex wanted to move and I felt it was a big sacrifice. Looking back, though, I think I held a grudge for doing this for him and then I was...

We've been married for a little over 3 years now (no kids). My wife brings home work to do a lot which takes up the majority of her energy each day. This basically means not much gets done unless I do it. I cook, I clean, I pay the bills, and pretty much do everything else. We've talked about...

Selfish, self-centered boyfriend=selfish, self-centered husband [ 6 Answers ]

My husband has done many things to hurt me. To begin, he lied about who he was when we were dating. We were young and in college; he pretended to not smoke, get drunk, and go to church regularly. Thus, we seemed to have so much in common. We talked for hours; he swept me off my feet with...
