    Fraud Less than 5000
    Hi,

I'm a 24 Y/O. with no prior arrest and clean driving record. I was contacted by a Police investigator because an ex employer had placed a complaint again me. She requested that I get to the police station (she gave me an appointment) where she told me I would be arrested for Fraud. (All this on the Phone)

A few months (6) ago I was in charged of the ATM. When we got the machine I did test's to make sure it worked OK. 2 months later I was called in the President's office and told I had stolen from the Company. I asked to see proof as I had no idea. They Declined. They asked me never to come back and refused to pay me salary owed which is roughly the amout they say I had stolen.

What should I do now before going to the police station? Can they arrest me? Will I go to court ? Can I go to Jail?

    Thanks, for the help!

If you are innocent you have nothing to worry about. If you actually did something illegal, then get an attorney and do not go to the police station, appointment or no appointment. If they are going to charge you with fraud you don't have to go there to be charged, they will come and arrest you. See an attorney as soon as possible.

    Hello T:

In addition to what twink said, sue your former employer in small claims court for your wages. If you DON'T, it will look like you agree to pay him back. People who don't steal NEVER agree to pay back for stuff they didn't steal - never.

HI, Sorry my account as tatiou does not seem to work. I've started procedures to sue in small claims court for my wages (needed to wait 90 days because I worked as a consultant) which I think is why I am being questioned. They are trying to find a way not to pay me. I have meet with a lawyer this morning. They have enough evidence do question me. He is suggesting that I make no declaration before he can see my bank statement and meet again with me and find a way for us to fight this. I now know that I should never use my personnal card for company use. I know I'm not guilty of anything, but what if they don't believe me. This is a well known business that has a strong reputation based on it's former owner.

Thanks, for the help. Any other advice you would give me.

Until the police have a warrant for your arrest, you don't have to go the police station. There most likely going to try and trip you up . Go to a lawyer and follow there advice. Even if your innocent I would suggest getting an attorney.
