Does the gas valve send gas to the burners? You should here a click and then gas going in if the valve is working.

Unless its very ,very old a goodman furnace has a glow-plug type igniter,, no spark box,, and the gas valve won`t open until the igniter lites,, check you control-circuit board,, look through the little round sight peep hole do you see a blinking light it should be blinking a code,, count the blinks,, then look on the inside of the furnace door/cover and see what the code is telling you

Its probable a bad igniter ,they are notorious for going bad

And if it is not lighting the only fault code you will get will say no flame present. The only way is to take out the ignitor and inspect it or to unplug the ignitor and check the power wires with a volt meter this will tell you weather it is the ignitor or if the board is not sending power. Good luck pelase let me know what you find!

Please give us a model and serial of furnace. Most likely you have a glow plug(hot surface ignition). Standard in newer goodmans. I would check some other things before replacing igniter or board. Pressure switch could cause igniter to never receive power. Lets start from the beginning. You should get right up to the furnace, and see exactly what it is doing. Listen for clicks, time them, and let us know what you find. This will work best if both covers are off furnace. You will have to hold in the blower door safety switch for furnace to operate.
