    Goodman furnace won't ignite
I have a Goodman 100-3 furnace. When I turn on the thermostat, the draft inducer motor starts and continues to run but the burner isn't lighting and the led has a steady blink. I have checked the rubber hose to the pressure switch as well as both inlets and all are clear. The filter is new. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you have a volt meter read across the terminals to the pressure switch.. When the dfaft inducer turns on it should read voltage 24-25 volts. After a little while the switch should close and the reading should drop to '0' volts.. if this doesn't occur the switch could be bad or the motor is just spining and the fan is not creating enough draft for the pressure switch to close. If it does drop to '0' and doesn't come on please write back with what kind of ignition system you have..

Unplug the 2 wires that are on the end of the igniter and check for continuity,, if no replace igniter,, is a simple job,2 little screws hold it,, be careful they are fragile and break easy,, also don`t touch the tungstone on igniter with your bare hands

Thanks for your suggestions. When I cycle the furnace. I can hear the pressure switch click. Is the igniter supposed to glow next and then the gas begins to flow?

The ignitor should start to glow a few seconds after the pressure switch closes. If you have a big white spot in the center of the element of the ignitor its burnt out and needs to be replaced. The true test is if you have a 120v going to the ignitor and its not glowing--- Its bad.

Do you recommend replacing it with the OEM part or the newer version? Thanks again. You've been extremely helpful!
