Trust in a relationship
I'm just wondering guys. How do you think trust plays in a relationship? Can you love someone without trust involved? Can you be with someone without trust? Would you be able to? Here's just a few questions I'm wondering about.

Well, guys are different all around, but in my opinion...
Trust is the MOST important thing to me. If I can't trust the girl, I couldn't love her. Of course, I would date her, but that's when the trust part builds up.
But then again, that's just me. Trust is very important to me... to the point where if someone loses my trust, it's virtually impossible to gain it back.

Personally I think trust is a key factor in any relationship. If you can't trust someone how will you ever get on, you will always think to yourself "Is he/she really staying late after work, or could she be cheating on me".
Lack of trust will slowly but surely eat away at you, make a person paranoid at every little thing and eventually cause a relationship to break down.
And I am sure it is possible to be with someone you cannot trust, but it will be very hard. And you will have to ask yourself why you cannot trust them in the first place. : )

If I couldn't trust someone I don't see me wasting any of my precious time with that guy.
And I have to be given a reason not to be able to trust someone.

I have dated people I don't really trust, but there is just no way in a longer term deal I could let myself fall in love with them. Without trust, everything is truly fake. It is almost going through the motions without any clear intentions of what you want.
Bottom line, no trust = no relationship.

Trust is important but blind trust is plain foolish.
Trust is earned and trust is either kept or lost.
You lose my trust, you have lost me.
I have been cheated on and tried to regain trust but found it not within my personal make up to do so.I admire people who can sincerely regain trust but I'm not one. I would imagine it takes a good amount of personal confidence to do so.

Trust is the most important aspect for me.
Without trust:
1) How do you confide in the other person?
2) How do you move forward in a relationship?
3) Cause of many arguments and misunderstandings.
4) How do you share secrets?
5) How do you ask them for advice?
The list goes on...

Trust is a relationship.
Trying to sustain any type of relationship--romantic, friends, even customer relations--lacking trust is bound for failure and heartache. But on the other hand, realizing what isn't trust paints a clearer picture of what trust actually is.

Trust is the biggest thing in a relationship, communication pulls a close second. If you cannot trust them, you cannot love them. How can you love someone if you always wondering where they are or making them feel like crap because they want to spend a day alone or with friends. You have to trust them that they are a good person who is honest and true.

Trust, and loyalty are higher than sex in a relationship. The sex can be great, but without the trust, no way am I staying, and once that trust is broken, its very hard to get it back.
As Artlady pointed out, trust is earned, and must be maintained for a healthy relationship to have a chance.
Honestly, trust is not something to be taken for granted.

To expand on Tal's brilliant point, trust also, once broken is next to impossible to rebuild completely. A lot of people I know, think once the trust is gone, it can't ever be completely fixed. I feel that to be true, once someone lies to you, don't you always wonder if they are lying again or have lied to you before?

You are right, Rome. Once I have been lied to, I find I have a hard time ever trusting.

Exactly. Once you break the trust once, it's a huge burden on the relationship to try to rebuild the trust.
Of courses it's still possible, but it takes a lot of time and patience from both sides.

With my ex, even if she wants to get back with me later, than I don't think I can trust her because she betrayed my trust by picking someone else over me. Come to think of it I've always find it hard to trust her because we had a long distance relationship, I never knew where she was or who she was. I guess there is absolutely no reason to want to make things work with her anymore since trust is so important.

Revocable Trust (Grantor) Trust w/3rd party trustee
[ 2 Answers ]
It was my understanding that if a grantor set up a revocable trust and a third party (let's say a bank) was named as trustee, the trustee was required to file a Form 1041. I am unable to locate any IRC or other guidance that would confirm or deny this. Please help.
Thank you.
