Who's taxes is it anyway - part 2
    Hey everyone.

I am just a little livid right now. So, if you read the first part of my question, I asked if anyone had advice for me on my mil and sil wanting my personal info to do my husbands' and my taxes.

My husband and I are doing our taxes ourselves and he told her this. This morning she threw a huge tantrum because of this, does anyone have an explanation for this kind of behaviour. Why would anyone be upset over this?

This is OUR responsibility and frankly I do not trust my in laws with this kind of info! They can know my husbands' business all they want, he is their son, but I refuse to let them in on MY personal business.

Honestly, what do you all think? I am losing my mind? Am I over reacting or wrong or something.

Please tell me what you think, I need some support.

Sorry, but taking the holistic point of view, I can see why the family wants to be involved in your husband's tax situation, since the family business IS his principal shource of income.

And, if you do not trust your in-laws, then why did you agree to marry into the family?

Okay, so re-reading my post I can see why you would be confused, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. When I said that we are doing our taxes ourselves, I meant that we are still using the family accountant, but mommy will not be there to hold our hands. Do you get it now. She gave the accountant ALL THE INFO that was needed for the business etc. and we did the other part of our taxes, OUR PERSONAL BUSINESS, in private with the same accountant. What are you not understanding Atlanta?? It's pretty scary that a "tax expert" is so easily confused.

Mmmmm, I can see that you are still not getting the point Atlanta, so thank you for giving me some advice, but please do not bother sending me anymore comments or so called advice as you have NOTHING constructive to say.

Our taxes are done, the topic is closed, move on with your life.

P.S. I trust my husband and I MARRIED HIM, not his mother.
