Coleman Evcon furnace will not kick on
My daughter has a Coleman Evcon furnace in her mobile home. The problem is that every morning they wake up it is cold inside because the furnace failed to kick on during the night. She says it seems to work well during the day, however. Please help.

Are there any lights blinking in the funace when they get up in the morning? Look closely for a sight glass on the cover of the control board.

No, she said there are no lights blinking. What she has to do to get it to come on is she turns off the furnace switch and the breaker, waits a minute, then turns them both back on. Sometimes it takes several tries.

Once she turns off the furnace, and turns it back on, the board resets, and it works just fine. I would call for onsite help. Make sure when you call, the furnace is not working. If you call when it is working, they will not be able to find the problem. When she gets up, if the furnace is not working, tell her not to touch anything, call the tech, and don't do anything until they get there.. This way, they can test the furncace to discover what is happening.
