    Early Termination of Lease Agreement
I am currently under lease agreement (State of Florida). I unfortunately have lost my job and cannot find another. Therefore, I am unable to afford to continue to reside here.

I am left with no other alternatives (due mainly with the economy) but to relocate back home to family.

What legal ramifications will occur for early termination of lease agreement.

    Thank you.

I'm not certain in your state, but I would definitely speak with your landlord and see if there is any possible way to sublet your place and avoid the negative ramifications. Some landlords allow for a sublet or also allow some forgiveness if you are able to find someone to live there or start a new lease. It's worth asking, keep an open dialogue with them so that you don't skip out and see what you can work out together. Best of Luck

In Florida you definitely need to try and work out something with the landlord. That's because Florida law does not require the landlord to try and re-rent the property if you default. So see if you can do a sublet, or find a new tenant, or negotiate a termination payment.
