    Baseboard heaters?
    Help ,
    I do not understand the diagrams to a plf series Fahrenheat eletric/hydronic heater .
    There are a blck, and a red and a black and a red and a green . The same for the 2 pole therrmostat. One says L1
    The power source is black ,red,white and ground . Help

    Post a ink to the diagram, otherwise, this is the best I can do.

    240 V is sometimes wired using black, white and bare(green) or it's wired
    Red, black, white (neutral) anf bare.

    Reasoning, is that there is no black/red cables available, so you have to tape the ends of a white wire RED.

    If the power source contains a white, red, and black then white is neutral and the tstat may use some 120 V. 120 V will be available from red to white and black to white.

    Greens (ground) and bare are always connected together and connected to metal boxes.

    Two pole line tstats are an odd device. They only disconnect both poles (Red/black) when it's off, otherwise it just disconnects one.
