My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over 2 years... I am trying to decide whether to keep the relationship going or not.
In the beginning, things were good... we hardly ever fight ( unless he is drinking - then he is a know it all ), sex was good... now I have learned that he is a very up tight person. Worries about everything but this relationship... he has told me that he loves me 3 times ( only when intoxicated ) other than that he says "like".
He has told me that he will never marry or have kids... tells me he cant, but when I say I am going off the pill to save money... story changes from 'i can't " to "I don't think I can - hasn't happened yet". I say " can't happen when there is no sex...
We can't play fight because he goes a little overboard...
He likes to drink but becomes very jealous... I quit drinking because I have gotten abusive do to past issue's... and I think it is better if I don't...
I feel like I am 2nd to everything, His ninja, booze, friends... he helps with the household bills... but that is it... I do everything else... yard wrk, house wrk, garbage, rent, groceies... etc.
I have spoke to him about everything that is an issue for me... but it has seemed to fall upon deaf ears... what should I do? Input anybody?

Sounds like he has a pretty good situation going for himself. You are being used, as a maid, rent payor, grocery buyer, a yard keeper and whatever else he thinks is not his job. Meanwhile he drinks, plays, and gets rude with you.

He does not deserve your help. You deserve a real relationship. So far, he has only "laid the linoleum." "Women are like linoleum, if you lay it right at first, it gives you no trouble for quite a while."

Hmm I would say I wonder if maybe there is someone else. But maybe you should threatned the idea not do it but sometime soon you need to make him realze what he has right in front of him `you` you know him best so you'll find some way and if he can't learn or respect you then maybe its time for a break.. . dang keep your head up girl I've been in a worse type of situation and when you really love the person or love them it hurts but stay strong aight then..

I would not threaten anything. MOVE OUT. He has a drinking problem, which likely will not improve, only get worse. He is not ready to grow up and have a family. This is a totally dead end relationship.
