You should not have to wein yourself off if only taking for 6 days!
You are not addicted at 6 days, and you should not have withdrawals if only... 6 days!

You can stop anytime you wish not taking the pills for an extended period. You can get addicted to anything regardless of how long you have been taking the medicine. At this point it would be a mental addiction and not physical. Take less each day or extend the period between each pill and see how you are. Just because the directions say take 1 pill X times a day is just a suggestion of how much to take a day, not an order of take so many pills a day. This is not an antibiotic we're talking here, but a pain pill. If you don't need it, don't take it period.

Talk to the doctor who is writing your prescriptions, and he can give you other non addictive alternatives. Being honest with him with your concerns is a good first step. At least he has the information to help deal with you more effectively.

Hello, I have been taking oxy for my disease and I will be for the rest of my life, so believe me when I tell you that you will not go through withdrawal after taking the drug for only 6 days... Me, on the other hand, will have to go through hell!! Good luck to you!
