AAAAHHHHHHH Laura, I have tears of joy in my eyes from seeing how happy you are with Hawweee. Soooo soft and cuddly. And lovable. He looks content sitting on your lap. That he's found a happy home with a loving family. I can see Millie spoiling him even more with lots of kisses and carrots. They like apples and dandilion leaves too. Pears are good and of course lettuce. Lots and lots of it. I gave my Mom's rabbit romane lettuce not knowing it wasn't for him. I was in so much trouble. (but worth it to see him happy). Keep the pictures coming.
Lots of love to you and your new extended family.
Love,

Well, I'll be stinkely tinkely. Laura, like I said earlier, sometimes, and sadly, it is peoples objectives, when they swing out of bed in the AM, to make sure, they steal the smile from that lovely face, DO NOT LET THEM, YA HEAR.
You are too good, too kind and too honest to let those who are not, get to you. Okay? Oh people sometimes. And you wonder why at times, I prefer animals!!

Hello I work in the same office as Supercarman and 2 others that you got banned also. I saw the message you sent to supercarman about you getting "pissed off" and you calling them "newbys" etc just because they disagreed with you. Several of us at the office couldn't believe how this unfolded and how you continue to have anyone that logs on that claims to know supercarman banned.
I guess you may get me banned too. (co-workers here are placing bets) We are all watching here and finding this hard to believe.
You say that "im not sure there all there" then you get all their messages deleted and get them banned. Is that how you treat people who are different then you? We sure hope you treat your rodent thing better. This whole thing has became quite the event to talk about in the lunch room lately.
Supercarman never did anything wrong. After their posts were getting deleted moments after making then someone else here suggested they reply shortly after because it was noticed that posts with comments were not deleted as frequently.
I thought I would write something. Others were saying ideas like just write in the rank comment area because they don't get erased and another person was saying It would be funny to post the whole thing somewhere on the web as all the old messages are still stored in the computers here on the network. I said they already got booted already so its my turn. Am I getting banned now too?

If you and your co-workers are doing this on company computers and company time, then were taking bets on how soon you get fired. Bosses do monitor employees computer uses.
People come here looking for advice and this type of spiteful retoric only hurts our efforts in helping them. People come here with real issues and real problems. We try to give advice without being judgemental or blame placing.
If you're taking bets on how soon you'll get banned then maybe were wasting your time. Because we have other things to do here than worry about your little bet.

Right firstly the ranks can be deleted if we remove the posts you rated but I've requested all be left this is making you look a lot worse than me.
Secondly what is this problem with me?? I haven't had anyone banned I don't complain to admin I don't have to they can see with there own eyes that you are basically bullying me.
Thirdly fill me with red sqaures they don't mean anything people only need read my reply to see it is the red comment that is wrong.
Ive had enough of your sillyness your making me sick to the stomuch it upsets me greatly to think you have nothing better to do with your time.

Like I said, we try to help people here as well as getting help ourselves. Intentionally bullying someone is not only wrong but sets a bad example as to what this great site is about. People see one person being bullied like this.(and I take it you really don't know this kind sweet person your unleashing your spiteful wrath on, otherwise you wouldn't do it) No, we don't always agree with what's being said but that's life in the usa and uk, we can agree to disagree.
I think you need to do a lot of growing up and effect a huge atitude change or you will get banned. Cbw might not ask for it but I garuntee the rest of us will. Were here for a purpose. Just because you didn't like the responses doesn't give you the right to attack someone for her posts. Do us all a favor and come back when you've grown up and developed more appropriate manners. If anything you owe someone I consider a great friend an apology. Not to mention the web site itself.
We don't allow bullying on or off the computer.

Hi there, I am a new member to the site but I can give you advice on this matter as I am trying to stop smoking as well. This is the first attempt in 31 years of not smoking and for the first two months not too bad. I have had to have help with the patches which I must say are brilliant - there is no way I could go cold turkey and I personally believe if you cease something your body is used to instantly then you will react more. The third month is more difficult for me, I have had a couple of cigs here and there - I admit complacency has taken a hold and I have to pull myself back from it but in the short space of time I have noticed my house smells nicer, my hair does not smell, my teeth and gums will benefit and I have not smoked 1460 fags in the time I have stopped. Some people say I have failed because I gave in a few times and had one but 1460 cigs I would have smoked is not failure to me. Get the patches they do work. One day at a time that's all you have if you can do 24 hours, start again 2moro with 24 hours. Trust me it will work and I do not plan on being a smoker again and roll on 1st July so the temptation is away from me in public places. Maria

Thanks to CBW, Chippers, Synnen and Joe - oh and Chantix (the medicine), I've stopped for 3 months now.
I am so in love with cigarettes. They are my best friend. I miss them. I hate them. I want one... BUT I refuse to go back.
I hope all of you that want to stop, I hope it happens for you. You really have to want it.
But if you are not ready, we still love you anyway.
It's hard as heck - just makes me so mad at the nicotene companies, cause I swear they do this to all of us on purpose. I heard they lace the cigarettes with a more addictive ingredient that keeps smokers hooked. HOW DARE THEY. So when you want to smoke, just think about that!!
We can do this! All of us together.

Well i havent had a cigi since 8am this morning it was the last one now ive tried on numerous occasions to quit smoking and im just not flipping strong enough to do it i always cave in.
Now i know theres no easy way to do this and i have to admit boy am i feeling dizzy and funny but i can't give in i need to do this for millie not just for myself.
So is there anyone out there with any words of wisdom and dont what ever you do lecture me on whats in a cigi it wont do a thing the women at the clinic tried that and i just laughed and said look i already have arsonic in me so thats really not gonna scare me into stopping. I want support not a telling off after all im an adult not a pubescent teen.
Thank in advance hugs
Laura
You can do it> My mom was able to do it. She has not had a cigirette in like almost a yr and 1/2. Im so proud. She did it for me too not just for her. Sometimes you may feel like you can't do it anymore. Then just think about who and why your doing it. Then think about something else. You'll forget about it. Sometimes the days go by slow. But when you don't think about it it goes by so much faster. And you will feel better too. And also the reason why my mom qiut was she got a liver cancer. So she had like she really had to do it. Im not trying to scare you with the cancer cause cancer runs in my family with women. But anyway. Just not think about it and think about what positive things may come out of quitting. :)

Well fellow goddesses, (those who have joined us lately, rina, spea, kitten maria. If I missed anyone, forgive me.
I have a conffession to make. During the past month, I had a few cigs. Not many just a few. Dealing with my Mom's passing and helping out dad giving her clothes to charity, I fell off the branch and hit everyone on the way down.
So, I'm back to square one and I'm not worried. I got the gum and I'm doing pretty good. I'll be back up soon enough.
By the way all you cat lovers, you're in good company here. We all pretty much have them. Mine are chips, tom, snuggles,

Cbw, I'm sorry I missed your post about person #2. I am so happy for you. Kids are wonderful and I'm sure Millie will just love being the 'big sister". Hawee will pass around Hershey bars. Can't pass cigars beings we're quitting smoking.

Michelle,
Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are, inside and out?
I'll play with the picture today... I actually have one of me that I might be able to use.

Take it one day at a time! One hour at a time, one minute at a time, whatever you can do, and then reward yourself (not with a cigarette) for all that you haven't smoked.

Hi Rina
I have probably replied to you already - just feeling my way round this site at the moment - all the animals I put on display are taken from a website on funny cays. Maria

I quit smoking for about 3 months and I REALLY regret ever starting again. One thing that really helped me what not doing the things I normally did when I smoked, Example... Every time I was on the phone I would go outside and smoke. So, I didn't use my phone unless I HAD to for the first month. I didn't hang out with my friends that smoked either. I started after the 3 months because I started hanging out with those friends again. Not that you can avoid friends forever, but try to cut them out for a little while. You will get to the point after a day or two were a cigarette doesn't sound good. The smell is disgusting and the thought of the taste is gross. That really helped me. And think of it this way, if you keep trying to quit, one time you WILL do it. I hope this is your time. GOOD LUCK< YOU CAN DO IT!

There's a young guy who works with my husband I would gladly give my undies to with me in them.
Rina, I am very shy about my pic. I hate having it taken. I can show you pics of me and my boys with me hiding behind them. But I'm working on it.
Okay, for the past few months I have been calling allheart christine and not michelle. Talk about unraveling. I need to be ravelled to start with. But you know people being a little off center kind of makes the world a little saner.
I have a really good incentive for not smoking, the clothes basket ride down the stairs. I figured how to do it without getting sued if any one sails into the wall at the bottom of the stairs. Hehe
Thanks for the life guard shelly. He'll do just fine till I can get to the beach and see the real thing. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm on page 41...
Quitters Witter Corner works for me... but how about "Support Tree"? It's a tree of all of us, not just the main 5, supporting people who have quit something that they love that's not good for them. Yeah, we have the top branch and all that... but let me tell you, I wouldn't be here on the top branch if it weren't for you on the branches just below me. Plus, I'm keeping seats warm up here!
The only other thing that comes to mind (and keep in mind that I am still waiting for coffee to brew, please) is Laundry Basket Slide.
But... I'm happy with wherever you decide :)

Can some one tell me what is it with cats chewing on plastic bags. It's annoying the heck out of me.( I hope you noticed how well I cleaned ithat question up)

My youngest son started it all. While I was doing laundry, he decided it would be fun to ride the clothes basket down a flight of stairs. I heard the WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THEN THUMP THUMP THUMP as he went down the stairs. My heart was in my throat when I heard that. It was almost as bad as hearing your little cherub saying uh oh.
From there the ride became the goddess ride. I forget where wewere in this thread when we talked about it.
It just took off fromthere. It became our incentive to stay on the top branch. And for the new people joining us to climb to the top branch.I hope that explains it for you. After a while it takes on a meaning all it's own.

Laura
I wish you the best... I am also in the process of quitting... but, I would not beable to even attempt it without the patch and gum... it does help a lot if you have been a long time smoker... also my Dr gave a new prescription of a medication that has been very helpful for quitting smoking it called "CHANTIX"... hope this helps.
Hugs for every minute not smoking!!

As I am only three days old I think simplicity for someone searching the site would be best. The support tree seems to suggest an area where people can get some kind of sympathy back to them for their plight, whatever that may be and the tree suggests something sturdy and strong and growing. I am definitely rooting for that one (pardon the pun) - MARIA
