Should I get rid of the Beer Truck then
No way, just start stocking root beer. ;)
With my health the way it is, alcohol just isn't a good idea right now, even in moderate amounts. I didn't want to worry anyone and I hope no one is worried. I'm doing what I have to do to get healthy, but I'm fine, so don't worry! That's an order!
Chocolate probably isn't a good idea either, but they can't expect me to give up all my vices! ;)

R's not a beer drinker. Actually, R really doesn't like any alcoholic drinks. He's a pepsiholic. ;)
I'm not that upset about it. There's always near beer, right? Blech!
I'll live. My body is just so run down right now that I need to eat and drink things that will pump me up in every way possible. Sadly beer doesn't have a lot of iron in it. They need to get working on that. ;)
Thankfully I also love milk, and water, and orange juice. So take away my coffee and my beer, go ahead! Waaaaaaaaaaa! No really, I'm okay. :)
Time for me to run. Raise a glass to me tonight M. I'll live vicariously through you.

Edith is a horny little b!tch, and I'm going to strangle her. The crying, I can handle. The clinging, I can handle. Trying to get out every time the door opens, I can handle. I REFUSE to handle the fact that she pees in my closet on the off chance any prospective toms are in there looking for a willing lay.
She did learn a new trick that I find slightly amusing. In the mornings, she wakes me up by meowing in my face and trying to drag the blanket off to let me know that it's time to refill the food dish. This morning she even let me sleep until 7, instead of trying to get me up at 4.
Aurora_Bell
May 24, 2010, 04:43 PM
Aww poor Edith. Is she done nursing yet?
hheath541
May 24, 2010, 04:49 PM
For the most part. They still nurse occasionally, but I think it's more for comfort. And it's mainly spot and zoe, and sometimes aura and mop. I haven't seen unky or alty-cat nurse in a long time.
And it's NOT poor edith. She PEED in my closet. It's bad enough that I have kittens peeing on my floor. I don't need their MOTHER doing it, too. Besides, up until this morning, I managed to keep my room a cat pee free zone.

It's finally warm today, after an entire weekend of yucky. Sucks because the kids had 4 days off, today is their last day.
They've been driving me nuts because they couldn't go outside, too cold, rainy, just yucky.
They're finally outdoors so I can chat for a while. ;)

Well if it's any consolation, E and I are covered in black fly bites.
We've been having some of the worst weather, this was finally a nice week end. Except for Sat when we had 50km winds. It was hot out, but windy as hell.

I LOVE wind. It makes me feel alive like nothing else can. Just standing, feeling the wind on my face, my hair whipping around my head, my arms out, and looking up at the sky.
Oddly enough, I don't really like the feel of a fan blowing on me. I'll tolerate it if it gets really hot. Otherwise, I make sure they point away from me.

Hheath I had on SPF 35!! I still burnt. I have super fair skin and freckles. Blond hair...
I use spf80, when I can find it. I usually STILL burn. I have skin like a redhead, and thick, dark hair. Even most of the redheads I've known weren't as pale as I am. Of the few people I've met who were paler than me, one was albino.

I didn't use sunblock, the back of my neck is slightly toasty.
You have to keep re-applying most sunblocks after a couple of hours for them to stay effective.
I don't tan, it's sad, I just turn pink and then white again.
I'm mostly Irish, German and Austrian though, so that has a lot to do with it.
hheath541
May 24, 2010, 05:51 PM
Right now, my hair's just a couple inches below my shoulders. I'm used to it being down the middle of my back. The past couple summers have been a treat. My hair hasn't gotten been that long since I shaved my head a couple years back. It got close last summer, but I cut it off to get rid of dead ends and old dye jobs.
I kind of wish it were longer. I could just braid it, then. Putting my hair up in a ponytail make my head itch, but leaving it down makes my neck hot. A braid's always been my compromise.

I turn lobster red, then I peel, then I turn white again. Somehow I ended up with all the irish, scottish, and german and none of the cherokee. My brother tans in the winter. It's not fair. I'm even paler than my mother, and that's where all the pale genes come from. Stupid recessive genes.

There's probably 1/24 th of me that's native american. I think Blackfoot. Don't remember which side though. I think my mother's. My great-grantmother's mother (or grandmother) was native american if I recall correctly. I used to tan so nicely. So much for that.
They do have some nice moisturizers that add a healthy glow though. And they don't streak. Try Jergens brand, it's wonderful!

Everyone's hair grows back as a natrual mullet. Some of this is because of the hair placement, and also because of the rate of the growth. Shave anyone you will get the same results after a wile. :) That's why it's so hard to grow hair back. And still have it look good. You need to tamper with it in the meantime. :)

Of the 5 other people that shaved their heads at the some time, I was the only one that ended up with a mullet. Even if you disqualify the 2 guys for keeping their hair short, that still leaves 3 other girls who didn't end up with mullets.

Awwh Bell! And go see a GP. They can give you something to take care of all that crap. Not to mention, with all those bites you never know what those bugs are carrying. It can't hurt. That really sucks. Also, go out the store and BUY calamine lotion, and laoe, and vitamin E cream for your skin. It will help cool and soothe the bites.

Some bugs don't like dryer sheets. Some can't stand the smell of vanilla.
I use vanilla oil when I know I'm going to be in a bug-infested area. It's not perfect, but it does repel some of the bugs. Standard bug sprays make me nauseous, so vanilla my next-best option.

Sure fire cure for a sunburn;
1 cup honey
1 tsp margarine/butter
1-10 beer

First you toast the bread, add margarine then honey. Grab a beer, sit, eat, drink, and stop whining about your sunburn! ;) Giggle. :)

Rae has had poison ivy spreading lately. Went to the docs the other week and got a script for it. It's gone on her legs and arms, but now on her lips and neck.

I got my doc to prescribe this thing: The Lung Flute. Lung Flute® - Medical Acoustics (http://www.medicalacoustics.com/)
My junk from allergies gets stuck in the throat and Mucinex screws up the Asthma as far as I'm concerned. It's really designed for the lungs, but it works for the throat too.
You just blow into it and it will make you cough up junk. The reeds must be periodically be replaced.

After standing around with complete bikini on, I felt a bit odd, seeing as everyone else was topless or completely nude. So I decided "when in Rome (or Germany" and took off my top.

When I was about 14-15 I went tubing at camp. A couple of the girls decided that since they were so far ahead of everyone else, they would sunbathe topless while floating down the river. For the next several days of camp, they were moaning and whining about clothing hurting. I couldn't help but laugh at them.
I may have been so burned it hurt to bend my legs, but at least I could wear clothes.

it's been her method of choice for the past few days. this is the first time i actually ended up BLEEDING, though. a couple other times i've ended up with scratches or welts. this time i had to wash the cut and put a bandaid on it.
i think i'm gonna have to invent ankle-armor, or something.
You could try wellies... I can just picture you clomping around indoors in wellies. Better than bleeding ankles though.

She is fantastical! :)
I got her a laser the other day and her and Rachel go nuts with it. Rachel of course handles the laser and the kitten chases it, she thinks it's the friggen funniest thing in the planet.
I need to go to the store, I don't want to. I need to buy some milk, veggies/fruits... just stuff... gah! I don't want to go but oh well.

Ha Hheath, I dreamed that I was a real estate agent and I was showing people houses, and every house was painted stark white. I have never liked white walls, I dreamed that when I went home my house was stark white everything was white and beige. My living room is a sunshine yellow, my kitchen is like an olive green, and my bathroom is a neon melon green. I actually woke up saying thank God!

I hate white walls. It's one of the banes of renting. Almost everywhere I've ever lived had white walls and brown carpet. I'm glad that half my rooms are wood paneled, where I live now. I don't mind that the kitchen, dining room, and extra bedroom have white walls.

What's even worse is that off white, like the beige or tobacco stained coloured walls in most apartments.

I hate white walls too. My friends recently painted her walls that bright white color and it is so, I mean so ignoring. I like earth tones colors. I remember when I was looing for an apartment I saw a place where the walls was painted an awful light bright green color with red carpet. Can you say ewwwwwww.

Couldn't you ask to repaint? Tell them that the color makes you want to vomit, and lay down rugs everywhere?

Hi, Daisy (or do you have another name you would prefer to be called?). Welcome to the Chit Chat thread. Please, call me Cat. Yes, I belong to (well, with) Catsmine (Cats).
Fair warning, these threads can be quiet for a while and then suddenly have pages of added posts.:)
Considering I have white walls, white ceilings, and light gray carpet all of which I greatly dislike, I am living in Bella's nightmare. :)
On the bright side, colored light bulbs work well on white walls.

Cat I just shuddered a little lol.
I used to live in this apartment and it had powdered blue walls, but not even a nice blue, it was like hospital from 1967 blue. Not cool.
Oh by the way, in case you are wondering I'm Bella :)
Like Cat said sometimes these threads are so quiet, and next thing you know, you go to the bathroom, and you have 10 pages to catch up on. Lol

This heat's gettign to the kitties. They've spent most of the day lying in the dining room. Even the linoleum is warm, though. I only have one fan, in the living room.
I was out running errands earlier. When I came home I stripped off my sweaty clothes and ended up with kitties licking the salt off my legs. I'm trying to convince myself that having clean towels is worth going back out in the heat to do laundry. Then again, I could always just air dry.
Someone convince me to go to the laundromat within the next half hour.
Aurora_Bell
May 27, 2010, 04:33 PM
Well how dirty can the towels really be? You only used them to dry clean water off your clean body.
Oh wait, go to the laundry mat.

I think I'm going to wait till tomorrow. It's supposed to rain. I can save money, not dry my clothes, and just bring them back to hang dry. The rain should make it cooler out.
