Thing is, she and I were "friends" before her brother and I ever got together. Jacob - the AF ex - fell head over heals for me. Seriously. I don't think I've ever been loved as much as he loved me. So, when I asked him to let me go, he went nuts. Literally mental. Threats, crazy texts, insanity - you know how it works.

But she and I had always told each other that we'd be friends.

And, the thing is, we haven't. We haven't stayed close because of all the water under the bridge. The police, the restraining orders, the mothers getting involved, the felonies (ask me about that one! ;) ), etc. We just stopped corresponding.

Honestly though, I don't WANT to start corresponding with her again.

Ohhh maaaann! I didn't take in my mail today, I forgot, so I just went out to get it. Now we have a notice from the City, regarding the water main break, and the contamination of the water. There is a two page list of things I need to do before I can use my tap water! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! It definitely cannot be used for drinking water for some time to come, and they are warning about other health conditions, resulting from the contamination. Any water, even shower or bath water is not to be used. We are suppose to take a sample of our water to a drop off point for it to be tested as safe! We have to let every tap in our house to run for 30 min. intervals to flush the system, and to drain our hot water tanks several times, as well as many other things that hold water!. and so on! Who is going to pay for this water bill? It certainly better not be ME! Uuuuggghhh... just shoot me now!

Yea I would make sure you aren't paying for it before you leave your water running for 30 minutes. That's is crappy

Thanks, Joe. I actually had a good night last night. Got in to see my masseuse and had a nice, deep tissue massage for a half hour, then went out with girlfriends for sushi and Godiva. Walked around International Mall - which is one of "those malls"... you know... the ones that you have to dress up for to go to! Nordstroms, Fossil, Godiva, Macy's, the ritzy stores.

Then, I went to sleep... nightmares! Crazy. Everything was brought back around and I woke up afraid that I was back when he was "after" me.

But today is a new day, my Mom is coming tonight (she's been in Maine since the funeral of my Grandpa), and I have Godiva truffles on my desk. :)

I've never had sushi in my life! I'm not so sure about that. I don't like fish at all really, so I'm not too sure raw fish would go over so well with me. Now shellfish... that's a different story! Love it!

There could be some that serve it. I really don't know actually. I'm sure there is. They have everything else, so I can't see them not having at least one if not more for sure. I really don't go out to eat often. I'm a take-out kind of girl usually. ;)

I've had such bad luck with take-out lately. I ordered a 3 cheese meatball lasagne last week, that tastes like it was a yr. old. I called and complained, and the first girl I spoke with was very kind and appologetic, and said she would personally make a fresh double order for me.

She then called me back, and you could tell she was very upset, and said she spoke to the owner, and he said absolutely NOT! He offered me 20% off my next order. Well I had a few choice words for him, and there will NOT be a next order, and I'm going to tell everyone I know too! What a good businessman he is! He won't be around for long with that attitude.

My starter sushi was a California roll - crab (cooked), cucumber, avacado, rice, seaweed. Order it without Masago (fish eggs) and I think you will be quite pleased.

Well that sounds like it would be good. I love crab. Yeah... no fish eggs please! I don't care if it's a thousand dollar an ounce caviar. Yuck! Mind you I will usually try anything once. I've had rattlesnake, eel, octopus, prairie oysters (hey, they were good, lol) buffallo, frog legs, bear, moose, elk, deer, mutton, pigs feet,. etc. Most were not too bad. I wouldn't eat them on a regular basis though. ;)

There are many different grades of quality of caviar... the more expensive ones are not at all salty...

Well, it may just be because I am having another bad day. But anyway I love dogs and I really want one. Well, My fiancé doesn't want one but finally agreed to let me get one. I don't agree paying for an animal but I guess if you have to then so be it. I had a dog I hang out with at work and everybody here loves him and he just died yesterday because We think someone poisoned him. Well the owner bought him for $800 and now it is all gone away. Well, I thought you could at least buy a dog at the animal shelter for cheap but they charge 100 dollars for a dog. That just seems like a lot to me. I don't know you can tell me I am wrong but it just doesn't seem right. That is all for now!

No Adam, that is actually a very fair price. You have to think that most shelters are not government funded, they are privately run. They need to charge in order to take these dogs in and feed and care for them, until they can try and find them a home so they don't have to kill them. Most shelter dogs will already be up to date on their shots, dewormed, and hopefully they will also be spayed or neutered. If you had to pay for all of this on your own, you are looking at several hundred dollars. They also have to pay staff to care for these sweet dogs, and give them baths, take them out for exercise, and even just to give them company and play with them. So $100 is a steal of a deal. Also, please don't even consider buying a dog from a backyard breeder or pet store. Please don't!

I'm so sorry about the dog that died. It's awful if someone actually poisoned him. That's crazy! Poor dog! I hope he wasn't in any pain.

Because most pet store puppies are "ordered" from puppymills. Have you ever seen the inside of a puppymill? They stack the puppies 20 or 30 high on top of each other, in tiny cages. Many of them are from mothers who have been bred over and over and over. They also breed mother dogs with defects. Some of the puppies are even born with their brains outside of their skulls. It's a disgusting and abusive practise, and pet stores support this industry. Backyard breeders are not much better.

Dogs should only be bought from a breeder, if you want a show dog, or preserve a purebreed, from a licensed reputable breeder. These are the people that will normally only have one breed that they concentrate on, and believe me, they make NO money. The money they get from selling the pups, only reimburses their costs for doing genetic testing and also caring for the pups when they are born, as they will all be up to date on shots and healthcare. They will also have strict rules and contracts.

There are approx. 7000 children born a day in the US alone. But there are 10,000 dogs born every day to backyard breeders and puppymills.

Adam, I have to agree, no backyard breeders, no pet stores. There are some pet stores that only "sell" shelter dogs, so not all are bad, but, if you're getting a puppy from a pet store that has many different puppies then it's a guarantee that they are getting them from puppy mills.

Shelter dogs are a steal of a deal if you think of the costs associated with the shelter keeping them, feeding them, spaying or neutering them, giving them their shots and many other factors. Also, shelter dogs make great companions. If you're looking for a puppy, most shelters get puppy's on a regular basis. If you're looking for a certain breed, chances are you'll find one if you wait long enough.

If you decide to go with a breeder, do your research. Most ads in the paper are not from breeders, but backyard breeders. What's the difference? A breeder does genetic testing on both the male and female dog, they only breed the best of the best, they will usually make you sign a contract promising that you will spay or neuter the puppy at 6 months of age, that you won't breed the puppy and, should you change your mind, they want the puppy brought back to them. Backyard breeders are people like you and me who just want to have a litter of puppy's without actually knowing what they are doing. They won't test the dogs, they usually don't even know when to breed the dogs or what to do when the dam goes into labor. They are just a step above puppy mills, a small step.

I am looking for a golden retriever. I am having no luck so far. I called on about 5 today and they were all given away. I found those in the paper. I will get to see the shelter on Saturday and I took off Monday so I will have more time now. I am off for the day. Everyone have a good evening.

And the weather should be great coming up. The snow just melted, over here in Toronto. I never realized how much I love grass! It was really nice to get out and enjoy those spring/summer sports I missed so much. I'm sure you're kids will love the week off, although parents of younger kids always seem to suffer through that week, lol.

Hopefully she can get more soon, so she's not in so much pain. She did get to spend some time doing her fave thing in the world though, and that's seeing and playing with her grandson. She always looks forward to that. :)
