Mornin, hope you guys have fun with Nos.
CBW that is great about the scan. We would love to find out if it is a boy or a girl... Did you find out with Millie? I did with all four kids.

Jul 16, 2007, 07:36 AM
Oh, I would rather have the surprise. I didn't find out with any of mine.
Synnen
Jul 16, 2007, 07:38 AM
If we ever get pregnant, my hubby wants to know and I don't.
I have a feeling I'm going to know anyway.

Jul 16, 2007, 07:41 AM
I'll probably find out at a child support hearing.

Jul 16, 2007, 07:47 AM
I found out with both of mine too. I knew my first was a girl. The second one, I wasn't sure. My husband was ecstatic when he found out it was a boy. Either way, I just hope everything goes smoothly. That is the most important thing. But if it is a surprise, that is always exciting too. How are you feeling anyway?? Lots of cravings and stuff? I just loved dairy queen blizzards when I was pregnant. I could never sleep well. That gets harder the further along that you are. Oh Good Morning everyone, it is Monday isn't it. GRRRR

Hello strangers. The movie was good, although I was frustrated at some changes in characters they made/parts left out, but overall very well done as always...
J_9 might be OK for your son. I still think it's a tad bit scary for mine, but if yours could handle transformers, he could probably handle HP & OOTP.
I have to say though, after seeing this movie, that I have a bit of a crush on Daniel Radcliffe... I mean it kind of bothers me actually because he is barely 18 and I was all excited at a few dream/bed sequences... lol...

:) :) :) :) :)
Im pretty tired. I worked all weekend getting my "got damned" portfolio put together and trying on clothes to find a suit, and what not and then the weekend was over, and I still have too much to do and not enough time to do it... the good thing is my MIL has offered to pick up my son Friday night and keep him so that I can read all night long and sleep in on Saturday. Woo hoo!!

Jul 16, 2007, 12:53 PM
Conner will love the attention. Goof for you getting a break. How was the interview. (please tell me I know what I am talking about) Did you get something to wear and did it go like you thought?
Synnen, have a better Monday, OK?
alkalineangel
Jul 16, 2007, 12:57 PM
Interview is not until next week. I have to present my portfolio fully dressed to my class on Wednesday though. Im really running out of time. I found a maternity suit jacket for ten bucks, its cute, black with pink and grey pinstripes. I found a maternity pink button up blouse and just added a pair of black gaucho dress slacks. I went and splurged on some black slingbacks for the occasion... I think it will look good. Lets just hope I can walk in the heels without falling on my face. I don't wear them often since IM 5'10", but they were so cute I couldn't resist... hopefully my interviewer is tall.
startover22
Jul 16, 2007, 01:01 PM
Sounds great... I can't wear high heels and I am 5'9 or 10 as well I feel like my knees are 25 feet in front of me if I do. Please don't fall, I bet the shoes are cute though! Pink and black can't go wrong with that! Good job

I love tiny people, although that's not really tiny, it's close to the average... I think I might be a good foot taller than some of you guys though... as I'm 6'4... one of the funny parts about my house is that my mom is like 5'6, and my grandma is 5'4 so I have been taller than them for a large portion of my life... and now I'm the guy chosen to reach for anything out of their reach, speaking of which when I got to the super market sometimes I find myself being asked to reach for stuff for other people, which I am more than happy to do :)

Jul 17, 2007, 07:23 AM
Today has already been the worst day ever. I stayed up till 2 or so in the morning building this portfolio out of fiberglass and metal and what not and it looked awesome and had my name up in the corder in metal lettering, and then I shattered the corner of the fiberglass getting it out of my car this morning... IM covered in JB weld that won't wash off, and my husband is gone tonight, so I'm home alone with Connor and this mess.
I am so stressed right now. I got to work and broke down in tears. I now have only tonght to redo the broken portfolio and print out the pieces to put in the portfolio, which I had saved for tonight because it was the simplest task. I need a drink... or a bath and I can't have either. Why is it that even when I plan and plan and plan and work things out ahead of time, I am still down to the wire pulling out my hair?? :(
shatteredsoul
Jul 17, 2007, 07:36 AM
I am so sorry that your day is so messed up, it sounds like you worked really hard on that portfolio. I am a real klutz so I usually ruin things right after I make them. Good thing you do plan ahead, because you have time to fix it. I wouldn't, because I do everything at the last minute. Things always happen when the men aren't around. Everyone deserves a break down every now and then. Just remember we are all rooting for you. I am sure it will turn out OK even though right now you just aren't sure how that will happen. Maybe on your break go grab yourself a smoothie or a coffee drink, just to get a minute to compose yourself. I am really hoping the rest of your day goes better. We are all hear for you to vent and get all your frustrations out!! We love you man! Just remember, this too shall pass...

That was hilarious... EBAY is cool though. Last year we must have made over 3 thousand dollars on all that kind of stuff. Mostly antiwues I was getting rid of or stuff I saw that was cheap for me but I put the "right" price on it. Including an old 300+ pound gas pump from an old station. Paid 20 dollars, got 375 dollars for it! 200 dollars shipping. CRAZY what people will buy...

That is a good question Synn. We are thinking of that song I mentioned from The Fray to play along with a presentation of us in labs and learning how to save a life, studying all night together, etc.
Basically we are just taking requests of anything right now. We'll sort it out in about February.

The pinning ceremony (what we consider our actual graduation) isn't until May. But we have to come back to school with some ideas in August. Since the last 2 semesters are SO harsh, we get little time to actually prepare. So this is our summer homework. LOL
The class that graduated in May (48) all passed the NCLEX test except for 3. All 45 already have jobs and they only took their NCLEX like 3 weeks ago.

Oh, yeah Vervepipe (better known as The Verve) is from my hometown!!
EDIT
The genesis of The Verve Pipe can be traced back to 1990, when Brian Vander Ark and his brother Brad began making names for themselves in Grand Rapids, MI, with their band Johnny With An Eye. Watching them closely was drummer Donny Brown, whose rival band, Water From The Pool, kept both ensembles in peak form. Eventually, Donny joined forces with the Vander Ark brothers and The Verve Pipe was born.

Never leave your Nuts alone
A doctor at an insane asylum decided to take his patients to a baseball
Game.
For weeks in advance, he coached his patients to respond to his commands.
When the day of the game arrived. Everything went quite well.
As the National Anthem started, the doctor yelled, "Up Nuts", and the
Patients complied by standing up.
After the anthem, he yelled, "Down Nuts", and they all sat back down in
Their seats.
After a home run was hit, the doctor yelled, "Cheer Nuts".
They all broke out into applause and cheered.
When the umpire made a particularly bad call against the star of the home
Team, the Doctor yelled, "Booooo Nuts" and they all started booing and cat
Calling.
Comfortable with their response, the doctor decided to go get a beer and a
Hot dog, leaving his assistant in charge.
When he returned, there was a riot in progress.
Finding his tizzied assistant, the doctor asked, "What in the world
happened?"
The assistant replied, "Well everything was going just fine until this guy
walked by and yelled,
"PEANUTS!"
Admit it - this one brought a smile to your face

I hope so too, J. I hate when the kids are sick and on antibiotics. My daughter Amber will be getting her braces tomorrow. Wow is that an expensive deal!! Have you tried probiotics? To build up immunity and replace bad bacteria with good bacteria? Acidopholus, I don't know how to spell it, but the health food stores carry it. Pills, liquid, even gummys I think. It helps them to heal more quick. Antibiotics are useful but they also kill the good bacteria and weaken the immune system. With the kind of infection that he has the probiotics would actually be quite harmful. He is MRSA (easily explained, antibiotic resistant staph). With this you have to be VERY careful of what you give.
