I won't be hiding in my pillow (although it is soft and comfy) I want my voice to be heard, and I have taken a few steps towards that... I just don't want to hurt him in the process. Hey Start - I feel your pain. You have read my past posts - so you know where I have been. Marriage is one of the hardest things and one of the best things to have in your life.
My husband is rough around the edges when it comes to communication. When we talk face to face and can SEE each others expressions - it doesn't always work. We don't hear each other. So, I have taken to sending him emails. Just today, I had to sit down and write one. He "jokingly" said (7 x's!! ) that I sh! On him. He had the nerve to say that to me. It hurt my feelings and I let him know. After everything he has put me through - he said that to me.
Anyway - you know the best thing you can do is to communicate with your husband. You give that advice to others all the time. And you know it is what is best. Letting your feelings fester makes it worse. If you have to write a letter, send him an email, then do it.
If you think counseling will help you two, then demand it. You are just as much a member of this relationship and your say DOES COUNT! If he is reluctant for whatever reason - make a compromise - agree to say 5 sessions and if he doesn't like it - then stop. But, give it a try.

Also, please check into this - "Men are from mars, women are from venus". I have a tape series (like seminars) but I think they sell a workbook. It HELPS so much in learning to communicate. It is working for us (believe it or not :))

As for my life my usual problems things go as they go I indeed still suffer from one time to another yet there are always shining moments apparently I am changing school again although it does not matter any longer I have gotten used to changing school from one to three times a year and I do not get attached to things I admit no emotion is how I ussualy am that is why people also seem to think I do not get much as I have almost no answers to talk with but I am not emotioning nor liking to talk to people of such a low intellectual level

I do not say that I cannot stand, hate, detest or any such to people whitch are so called at a lower intellectual level,foolish or in simple words stupid I just do not like them that is how I am I am taking people by theyr intelligece then it comes to how the person looks smells the face and such by that you can often read out what person it is yet not always

I do know not to take out all of one by how the person looks it is just a obvious thing in these lands and I must admit ussualy foolish people smell... Not too good

That does remind me of a group work in class(I do indeed hate those as I have to do all work when rest of the group can sit behind)

But I ussualy end up with fools due to my so called bad luck and theyr start expectations whitch I truly am not agreeing with

To it, one of the people left to me smelled indeed horrible including that two smoking people were in front of me and the stench truly made me throw up when I did go out of the class but already by that and theyr appearance I can tell what people they are of course ussualy but in that case it is definitive

But that is how life goes in this country I do not have friends not only for the reason that I do not wish to lose any more contacts as the odds are against me in a too great way

There are hardly people that can catch my eye and I do not talk about only appearance

I wish for your rain call but I do not wish for you to catch a cold if you indeed need the rain the much you could go to a swimming pool for some water

A few days ago where I live there was an overflood of water falling from the skies the streets were flooded enough for a baby to swim in them and unfortunately the number of accidents was not a minor one

The foster boys go to an overnight daycare sometimes, and I just thought that maybe if the need was high enough, I could do that instead of daytime care. The hours are normally 7 to 7, maybe a little later if I need to see them off to school, but it is still good money and then I have more time for my own children... seens how our kids' bedtime is normally between 7 and 9 anyway... the older kids 9 or 9:30 and the younger ones, between 7 and 8... well, what do you think about that?

Well, the foster boys are in night time care, as the mom works nights so they are sometimes with two daycares in one day... only for thirty days though. Her work times will be day starting in September, so I am glad that is over. Pretty crazy how when I drop them off, I want to scoop them up and bring them back to my house.
Dustin just thought that if I wanted to, I should go for it.
It also means that I wouldn't be watching the boys anymore so I am not sure yet. Just a really good idea that's all. How are you doing, I loved your post I commented on, that was a great way to open O'troubles mind. YOUR words work wonders sometimes sweet...

Thank you firmbeliever for joining us over here. I really did enjoy your poem my friend. It is so true, all the good with the bad and embracing life for all the miracle and wonder within that. Yes, we are so blessed to have the people on this site. It is a haven for our sadness, our worries and our fears. This way, we can look at those around us who can't be who we need them to be and know, we aren't alone. We are loved and there is goodness out there. The compassion of those that I have met here, have begun mending my shattered soul and I will go on. I will be OK. I have lost and I have loved, I am thankful that I have been able to love before I lost. It rips your heart apart and then slowly, with other people's love, I begin to heal.
You too Cal, you will begin to let those tears fall and when you do, it hurts so bad you don't want to feel the pain. YEt, you have to. All your feelings and emotions are necessary to have, this is how you process it. You work through it by embracing it and holding on for dear life, while you feel like falling apart.
The past few months have been so hard for me. Part of why Start began this post was to help me not feel so devastated about my post disappearing that talked about losing my friend on April 20th in a plane crash. I poured my emotions on here and so many people came to my rescue with such kind words of support. When the post just vanished one day, I was so distraught. I would keep reading what people wrote to help me get through the day.
People like Start, began a thread of Seeing Love all Around you, to continue helping others who could share about their life and the things that are happening to them.
You coming here says that you too, are looking for that same support and guidance. YOu will find it my friend! 1
Thank you all who continue to come and share, it certainly has been part of my healing process. I hope I can give back what I have received here. Love and kindness from complete strangers, that now feel like a family.

Candle wax, if poured slowly and gently, feels kind of cool. I used to stick my fingers in the sides of the candle when it was burning and cover the tips of them with wax. OK that sounded really weird. But I did used to do that as a kid.

GAIA, you must rest and drink plenty of liquids (tea, water, juice, but not too with too much sugar) Also maybe cold medicine, if you aren't allergic and ibuprofren or tylenol if you have a fever. Other than that, it just takes time!
Also, vitamin C helps you recover a little more quick, or a least boosts your immune system a bit. Try eating maybe soup and crackers. Fruit, or jello. Things that are light, but have some nutrients. Hope you feel better soon!!

Hello Everyone, Gaia I hope you feel better. I agree with start and Shattered drink lots of fluids and rest a lot.

For colds, I rather use homemade remedies. Like lemon tea with Hunny, ginger tea, Orange juice, Ginger ale, and Vitamin C. It helps me but it could be different for others.

Shattered I try to rest more when the baby is taking naps.

Good Morning all! I am waiting for my child to get her butt out of bed so we can go school shopping! She starts in 1 Week! I have only bought one outfit. No shoes. I do have supplies. I just need Clorox wipes and a box of ziplocs and that will be done.

I went through her stuff from last year and I don't think I will need to buy much right now. She has 4 pairs of jeans and then some dress pants and lots of shirts. I just like new stuff!
Shoes - she needs 2 pairs of sneakers (they have to keep a pair at school) and then I get her dress shoes. She picked out a pair of "hanna montana" boots. Luckily payless has the buy one get one half off sale right now.

Well it is getting ready to pour here. I feel so bad for all of those people that got hit by the hurricane. The flooding in the midwest looked awful too. Boy, Mother Nature is talking but we sure ain't listening!

Just the fact that she has night time and daytime daycare is really affecting the boys. Night time is for when she works nights and days are for when she needs to sleep. I know for a fact that she has been bringing the boys here everyday and she has been bringing the boys there every night... she does not work 24 hours a day. She had her girlfriend over this wickend and was off from Thursday night to Monday night, the boys were still going to night care... That totally shows the boys that her girlfriend is more important to her than them. They have talked about it and I am furious!! I will be talking with her today about all of this. Besides the fact that DHS will not tolerate it, neither will I. She has no sense of priorities... I just know this is not going to be good. Poor babes

Just the fact that she has night time and daytime daycare is really affecting the boys. Night time is for when she works nights and days are for when she needs to sleep. I know for a fact that she has been bringing the boys here everyday and she has been bringing the boys there every night.....she does not work 24 hours a day. She had her girlfriend over this wickend and was off from Thursday night to Monday night, the boys were still going to night care.....That totally shows the boys that her girlfriend is more important to her than them. They have talked about it and I am furious!!! I will be talking with her today about all of this. Besides the fact that DHS will not tolerate it, neither will I. She has no sense of priorities......I just know this is not gonna be good. Poor babes

Thanks guys, I think we got some stuff worked out through DHS and another week she will be on days, so it would have all changed again for the boys... crazy! She isn't a bad person, and we talked a bit yesterday, I know she has good excuses for the things she does, but I would like to see her take more responsibility for the things she does. Any way, who am I? Her mother? LOL

My husband has taught me some very important things about babies and parents... They have us for a reason, we are not to let them get away... It really does surprise me when people just have babies and decide a year or whatever down the road that they are not happy. Upsets me, I feel unhappy sometimes, I just keep moving on. I am sure you saw in my posts around here that I have my own problems, but those dang problems, well, they make a person and relationship stronger. OMGosh, am I talking out of my A-hole... I will stop. I hope you get the point. (No relationship is ALWAYS good)

Cal, you are a truly unique and beautiful person, you have so much to offer. PLease look in the mirror and find a way to see something good within yourself. You are the only one who can change that image and open your heart to love. Everyone is worth loving. Yes it is a scary world and I wasn't worthy, or didn't feel worthy of having my own kids, until I had them. They renewed my faith in things that are good and in God and in myself. The most important thing is to learn to love yourself, otherwise you really can't be close to anyone, including God. I have faith in you and I believe you will find love and have a family. ONe day.

No don't go, I had to get a thingy started for Maxy... I have to tell you, there are no extra kids coming, my hubby is at work, Grady promised he would help with a few errands, and I am going to try to get a pair of pants and a few shirts... If I go out, they recognize me cause I wear the same thing... My kids on the other hand, well they are might cool.
Anyway, how are you SHATTERED? You doing OK, working, sending kids to school, getting laundry done? LOL, I am tired, and will be giving myself another hour to relax then get up. Love you. Start

I am doing fine, kids are good, work is work and laundry is well, there. I am trying to do more but there is just not enough time in the day sometimes!! I will do a few loads as soon as I get home, a lot of sheets and blankets to wash. I am sure you will be busy the next few days getting everyone ready for school. I am sure Grady will be a big help. I thnk maybe you deserve a few new things to wear, you bust your a$$ everyday!! I am glad you are relaxing, I don't think I have ever heard you use that word but that is definitely a good thing!! I can't imagine working and taking care of my home, I am proud of you. I think about the day I go back to work, and OMGosh, it just isn't going to be like it is now, I will never want a clean house again!

YOu will do fine like you always do. You find a way and you manage. I think it is harder to stay home in some ways. I feel like I am more productive at work and yet I don't budget my time wisely when I am home. To be honest, sometimes I am just lazy. YOU could never be lazy. Don't worry you didn't hurt my feelings, I just figured you couldn't talk. YOu have never been intentionally hurtful, it isn't in your nature. If my feelings get hurt than that is my problem, not yours. I always see the good in you and I am proud of who you are. You have opened my eyes to a few things and shown me how to be different. Yes, we have helped each other. I know I can be emotionally sensitive and maybe even immature, but I am trying to toughen up and take things with more stride. You have helped with that, immensely.

I hardly watch this show, today I did. Hunny, I am killing the kids. I think parents should be in better control of their children. Feeding children junk food, over feeding them everyday and even their daughter gets sick all the time from over eating, all take out food and no healthy food or exercise. I think that is so sick. I think more healthy food and hardly no junk food is better. I know you could live longer when you watch what you eat.

What do you all think about that? ;)

OH Cal, I don't see how anyone couldn't like you. YOu are a good guy. You give kind advice and you have a great sense of humor. YOu are intelligent, and sweet and you have so much to offer to this world. NEVER down yourself or feel unworthy of love. YOU are preventing others from getting closer if you don't feel like you are good or loving, or even likeable. Be more gentle with yourself and see yourself as someone you are proud of. I do know where you are coming from, I don't know your exact age but I know my teenage years were quite turbulent and I didn't feel very good about who I was either. Yes I had friends and they loved me but I didn't think I was as smart or pretty or as good as them. My home life sucked and I got caught up in relationships that were not right for my age. I hated being a teenager, until I was like 17. I started finally feeling a little better. IT is a long process and I want you to know that most people feel like you but it will not always be like that. I am sorry to go off on a big lecture here. I just had to share that. I was at my daughter's middle school this morning, some boy was giving her problems in class yesterday and harassing and threatening her. I went in and had a talk with the administrator and asst. principal. This will not happen again, my daughter is to feel safe in the classroom. I am not expecting things to be perfect and kids will be kids. However, if they are disruptive and abusive in the class and the teacher can't handle it then I WILL!! HOpefully this will be the end of any problem, they have assured me it will be. My husband flipped out when he heard and he was ready to put her in private school. I told him to let them work it out and give it a chance first, she shouldn't be scared to go to her school and they said they would squash the BS today. I will keep you posted. Dang it I wish I could go beat that kid up myself!@! @@ LOL

Hey Firm, I hope that isn't true. Teachers should be in control of their students, and we never had those issues in elementary school. Although, if they are troubled kids from troubled homes, they probably don't know how to behave. That is not the teacher's responsibility but it is my job for my child to feel safe at school and that they will ensure that while she is in class learning. When my husband went to school, he said he got paddled. Maybe that would help but we are a sue happy country and that is probably why the schools don't allow that. Hope all is well with you!

Too bad the my original posts got deleted... well I still have one somewhat related under bereavement. Why they kept that one, I don't know. I lost a good friend and some other people that work next door, in a plane crash on April 21st. It literally shattered me to the core. I found this site by accident and it seemed the most fitting name for how I was feeling on my first post. I am mending, slowly. Some days are better than others. I try not to dwell in death and grief on here too much. IT isn't what people want to hear about or talk about, when I should be moving on. So I focus on other things and more appropriate topics. I guess the people on here have taught me how to move forward and to be strong. I have gotten a lot of valuable advice, so I guess you could say my heart and soul were shattered, but I am mending it one piece at a time.
