Looks like it is only you and I now cal.

EDIT :::::::::::::

I think it is time for you to get some sleep.

I know I should too, but I think I am going to pull a all nighter. I am going to pull myself away from the computer and do other things. Like house work!

I know you all know the share the breathing part was just being silly.. What's up with the bat and all?>>> wow...

In a deeper level, Yes I do believe we create our own reality to an extent. ( I know I can't just wish to be rich in my reality when I am not, and expect to be so, etc. But whatever we are capable of achieving, to get the desired outcome is so in our reach...

The power of intention backed by action and determination is such a powerful tool. I know for me, the character defect I tend to slip into is "follow-through". I could have all the motivation at the time, but if I am not consistently focused on my goal (s) it fades.
Too bad for me, "I coulda been a contender"... heeehee ;)

Back to your original questions:

Who made you who I am? Truly God did, my mama did a great job keeping me safe and teaching me the ways. Like-minded people bring out the best in me. Closed-minded people teach me patience and tolerance. I have 2 step kids and I am grateful we get along. I am married and spiritual? I brush my teeth at least twice a day, more if they feel icky.. I clean the toilet when I see it needs it... and that often considering the household...

If I don't eat breakfast it messes up my sugar level and I get frantic... it delays the eating pattern for me and end up eating a hog by the 9 o'clock dinging of the bell. Which leaves a less than desirable sensation for the morning after.

Like partying all night and eating a lootful of goodies, to forget the next day why I felt so gross. (just a reflection)

Vitamins and water a Must...

Thank you, for you.

Yes, God is the one who created everybody. That is a fact and no denying that. Without God I or anybody would have nothing. I am thankful to God for all the blessings in my life. There are times I have felt that I have lost focus or got caught up with things or people that were not of the same mindset as me so sometimes I have to regroup and figure out who is truly of the same mindset and make sure that I stay focused on God and truly meditate on the word of God and communicate spiritually with God. Without God nothing would be. I truly believe that.

I think I said this before but I will say it again. My God, the father is my only true father, my greatest influence. I was raised with a step father, and my biological father was only in the picture when he felt like it. My step father is a workaholic. So I do believe every experience we have influences us on how we feel and deal with every situation.

Mango, That is great that you have a step family that gets along. That is good to have and is rare.

Patience and tolerance, and closed minded people. Yes, it defiantly has to take lots of patience to deal with closed minded people. It is very diffucult and hard to do at times. It is a challenge. All though a very good one.

I am Canadian and I guess that is why I try to be extra polite in everything I say. Lol

I have to admit I was going to get deep here, and emotional and sensitive but I think I will try to keep it on the lighter side of things.

I think I am lactose intolerant. Whatever that means. I still eat the foods anyway. Milk I avoid like a plague but I still like to have my occasional ice cream and occasional pizza but I always pay for it the very next day. (I know too much info)

Daily prayer, and Daily reflections is important. As well as drinking lots of water especially on days where it is over 100 F'

Mango your great, and thank you for being you.

Joe

Jazzy-Joe... I appreciate your comments and being true to your beliefs. As much as I try to be with the Spirit and live for today, it does slip passed me and I get caught up in the worries... it is sure Great to know and be reminded of the things that matter most: God, Meditation, prayer, love, family and friends of like minds.

I appreciate your comment on the Step family... I have had 2 step mom's in my life, one who is the mother of my 1/2 sister long ago, and Currently, my dad of 70 (wow-you go dad) married my now step mom in December, she's 3 years older than I am... she's Latina and I really admire her- she's made my dad (who was hardly ever in my life up until 10 years ago) a better man :)

Question, when parents (one being a step mom or dad) divorce, do you lose "family ties" with them?

I am so lactose intolerant, I believe it come with age inevitably. I only drink lactaid nonfat milk, if I need the calcium- it is an acquired taste. I love, love, love ice-cream... if I eat it, I know I will be in pain, moments later (seriously how lame is that?) but it is what it is. I think it is God's way of telling me, I am not suppose to eat it. If I didn't have a problem, I would eat it all the time-resultiing in "Umoo the happy Sludge Cow" :)

Whatever, I find ways :)

I have a puppy named Tiki and I love her so much. I never had a puppy ever.. Apartments have never been conducive to non-caged pets. Tiki is 1/2 Pomeranian 1/4 Chihuahua 1/4 Pug...

She looks rather like a Special breed Chihuahua- I like to think she gets that from my side of the family... I have never seen a puppy sleep face up with all four paws facing the ceiling. She sleeps on a pillow (my arm) weird and comical, makes me laugh.

Got to have laughter, never let it slip away... It's a must, the body, mind and spirit need it. Find the Joy in every day things, I try, it makes me feel grateful..

So much for a "quickie"

Hello everyone. Joe and cal is so silly Mango. It is good to have some laughs with people.
I believe in God in my own way, like God made us and everything we see, touch and don't see. The world that God gave us is so beautiful but we are ruining what God made ;( . I don't follow too much of the bible. Life is great when you can speak to people easily when you know they are not closed minded. I rather speak to people that are down to earth.
My biological father was never in my life he left when I was threes yr old. Had a step father and he treated us pretty good most of the time. Now he is in peace. Right now I feel great That I have my family of my own. Joshua is doing great and Joe is too that is what I thank God I have a great family.

I know that all families do not always get along but that is what families are for. To be with you through good times and bad times. Mango that is good your family gets along well.

Proud

I believe we all get caught up in worry, I think it is normal human tendencies. Some get caught up in it more then others. We all need to be reminded what is truly important in order to keep our minds, spirits and body healthy and happy.

Oh about the step family. My wife grew up with a step father, I grew up with the step fathers side of the family although I am closer to my moms side of the family probably because I naturally gravitate towards them. I have only stayed in touch with a couple of people on my step fathers side of the family and as far as I know lol my mom and step father are still married.

About the lactose intolerant this is my favorite line that you posted.

"Umoo the happy Sludge Cow" :) "Umoo the happy Sludge Cow" :) "Umoo the happy Sludge Cow" :) "Umoo the happy Sludge Cow" :) "Umoo the happy Sludge Cow" :) "Umoo the happy Sludge Cow" :) "Umoo the happy Sludge Cow"

Yes, we do pay for splurging on the icecream lol. I was in an apartment until I was 10 years old. We had a lab mix puppy and she lived until she was 18 years old. Beautiful spirit. Loyal puppy.

Yes, We all have to try to find joy no matter what is happening around us.

May God bless you and your family always.

Oh boy, here we go. You guys have come so far without me, I am a little jealous. First of all, my husband works for the garbage company here in our town. Ha, he used to be the recycle truck driver, now he is in sales. We always seem to reuse our stuff. I like the old antique look so it really works for us. We made a tree house out of old shutters and wood and someone was throwing out a huge slide, so we decided to reuse it. We built our garden fence with old chicken wire, (some one was throwing that out too) an antique door from a friend, she was going to burn it, some old water skis for the poles, it was so cool... I always pick up garbage on the side walk or at a park, even my kids do. With 9 people in the house, it is hard to conserve water but we do our best. I think if we all just quit FARTING it might do us some good, it might just SAVE THE WORLD! J/K I believe God made us and gave us choices, sometimes I wish he would make my choices for me cause I get a little crazy sometimes. I think I am a good mom I joke a lot and my husband is the serious one. I hope you guys continue on, it is lovely hearing everyone's different thoughts. Love is all around us who ever you are and where ever you are, it is there. Sometimes it is hard to find in people. That is the most important time to bring a little extra of your own out. Have a great night. It has been an extra long weekend! Start

You know, there is no need for name calling! :) I should just go shut all the windows and turn it on. But, it isn't THAT bad yet. There is a nice breeze coming in. Like I said, I am cheap. I enjoy the ac until I get the bill for it. Then, I prefer to sweat. And, sweating is good for you. Maybe, I could lose an inch by just sweating. Who Knows...

BUT, when I get hot, all of the kids suffer from my bad mood and since there are so many of them, I am not sure they wouldn't ralley against me and attack me. So, I am doing it for safety reasons. LOL I crack myself up!

NowWhat
Jul 9, 2007, 02:31 PM

Hello Start,

I could have put poop all over Joe's face if he put water on me while I was changing Joshua's diaper but he did not do that. There was one time he said something to me so I had to put Joshua's stinky butt in Joe's face, he had a diaper full of poop it was so smelly I got Joe sick by smelling it. :D HAHAHA HAAA!

Like Joe says it is nice to be a parent. I never wanted to miss that in the world. I love everything from when I was pregnant and now having him with us.
I couldn't believe that my sister did not want to have her own child she loves babies so much. Now When she saw Joshua she is thinking of changing her mind. She is thinking to have one of her own now.

Hey Proud,

I love your zest for parenting! I admire that so much. I love children, they are so precious.

I am a Step-Mom and there was a time when I did want my own kids, but I wanted the right father for them. Never seem to have found him. My WANT was like the tides, ebbed and flowed. Normal, maybe, then I found the ONE.

I married him :)

He came with 2 girls, now 12 and 4. and 2 moms. Crazy, but fact. Considering the circumstances, I am blessed, I have to say again, for being a "Blended family" it continues to get better. It wasn't at first.

A bit late in life but still, to this day, possible to have my own. I have asked my heart
a- many- a- time, and what I have IS enough for ME. And life is GOOD! Who knows what God has planned for me.

This is just a perspective from a different point of view :)

NowWhat
Jul 10, 2007, 02:29 PM
I know - she has all these books - she even started buying double because she can't remember what she has. We bought her this gadget for christmas that she can download books to and then read them from there. I don't know how many it holds - but she was always lugging around all these books when she travels (which is alot). This thing is lighter than a good novel. But, the downside (which is for those of us that get what she has already read) is that she doesn't have the books just lying around anymore.

startover22
Jul 10, 2007, 02:37 PM
I have been on a book hunt to make one of my walls, a book wall. The whole thing just books from top to bottom, I don't care what the book is about, history, a novel, true to life, anything. The kids have their books why can't I have mine? I love them and I really wish to get the book wall when we move. It would have course be open to anyone that would like to borrow one!

NowWhat
Jul 10, 2007, 02:44 PM
We have a "library" in our house. We have it filled with antique books. They are prettier to look at, but not extremely interesting. Not for me anyway. I like different material I guess. I should probably up my standards!

I am in love with antiques. Books and furniture... I have a few old books but I hardley everread them. I have 10 years wrth of my Great great aunties journals... BORING! No drama in them what so ever, births, marriages, ceremonies, deaths, and when they picked the corn... LOL

I have kept journals since I graduated hs. And when I read them now - I want to crawl under a rock. They don't even make BAD soap operas about the stuff I wrote about. I have to remember to burn them before they can be passed to my daughter. How embarrassing! I may keep the ones that have her dad in them. Other than that - it is just teenage bs!

Wow, everybody could open up their own libraries. Pretty cool.

It was so hot and we had a cold front coming through. There was severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings here for a couple of hours. Apparently its been dropped to watches now.

Phew, about 30 minutes away from us are known for tornadoes. As long as it touches down in fields and avoids everything else.

Hope Start, Nowwhat, Synnen, Mango and everybody else is having a great night.

Hi my friends :)

I hate to say this, But...........currently there is fog a commin' and I am going to need a sweater  West Coast.

I can already hear it...

Quickly off that subject... I love antique books, too. I love rooms filled with books. Wherever they may be. I love getting lost in the library. I can just sit in an isle, all by myself, and get lost. Whewwww.

I love the way antique books smell, weird, but true. It reminds me of my grandmas/grandpas Study. Olfactory kicking in.

Lately I have been reading a lot of deep stuff and I thing it is time for FUN. LALALALALALALA

Lol... the day of my wedding... All of my bridesmaids came from out of town, except my sister. She set it all up for me, and we all got our hair and nails and stuff done at the same time that morning, we basically reserved an entire salon.

We listened to "Goodbye Earl" on a continuous loop. I thought it was the most hilarious song in the world to listen to right before getting married.

As far as not liking what they had to say... I can't be mad at them. They were saying the same thing I was. So what that they were famous and saying it? I still agree.

Good Morning all! I am sitting here with the first cup of cofee of the day. It is raining outside - but sticky inside.

I talked to my daughter this morning (she is 700 miles away at my sister's for the week) - we missed her call last night due to no cell service and we weren't at home - so I had a tearful, heartbreaking message from her. So, she called 1st thing. She is going to a movie today and then the pool.
You know, I miss her something awful, but... My husband and I are really enjoying this time together. We went to the park/lake one night and grilled out hamburgers (and watched a couple make out by the water) - then we went to a friends cottage by the lake last night. It has been great. The conversations are coming so easily.

Anyway, felt like sharing this morning!

We both feel kind of guilty for having such a good time - even though we both miss her. But, we have both said that we should have done this along time ago!
I know Saturday will be here before we know it, so I am trying to just enjoy this bit of "freedom".
When I talked to her this morning, she asked that when she gets back, can she have a friend over. She is already planning her time!

It was our ten year annicersary, we have never been alone without kids for 11 years. I know weird, but oh well. We are definitely feeling it is time to treat ourselves again. It is easy when you have less kids but when you ask someone to watch four of them it is a little hard. Nana can only take so much,is what I am saying... NowWhat
Jul 11, 2007, 08:54 AM
Well, normally I go to - but I just spent a week with my family, so I don't feel like I am missing out this time.

Our problem is that the closest family to watch her is 2 hours away. So, to just go to dinner is sometimes hard. We could get a babysitter, of course, but I really don't trust many people to take care of her. I am weird that way! When they cut the cord at birth, my trust went out the window! We have had 2 babysitters in the past almost 7 years. Both really good girls, but now one is in college and has a life (doesn't babysit anymore) the other will be driving soon so she may not want to spend her time babysitting - she may want to start dating! So... plus, as you know, I am cheap. I mean, I don't even turn on my air in the July heat! :)
If you have family that can take your kids - even for the night - you are so lucky.

startover22
Jul 11, 2007, 09:14 AM
Yes, we are lucky and my oldest is 13 now so we can put the young ones to bed and his sister and him can help if they wake up. My oldest really needs to know we trust him. And since we are a couple miles away, I feel pretty safe with all that. I also wish we had a reagualar baby sitter so we could just call go out for dinner or something like that. We don't call Nana anymore, she is too busy! Have a wonderful day

If you ever doubt, think about your strengths and talents
If you ever feel unloved, think about how much god loves you, he died for you
If you ever feel hated, think about the people who have stood by you, the people who love you
If you ever feel hopeless and insignificant, remember that god has a plan for you, and it is a plan that involves doing great things!

The routine thing,

Oh and about trying to be nice, there is only so much niceness that can be spread, but dealing with this person is a different story. That is why I gave him a disagree. I have to get up in four hours. I will probably end up getting a couple of hours of sleep. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I am actually being so cool with this one. You should have seen my answer with the post of a father that wanted to kick out his pregnant teenager daughter if she does not have an abortion that he is getting so mad that he was going to beat the crap out of her. Then in a separate post did not mention anything about her being pregnant and actually talking about boot camp. Let me tell you, about losing my cool.

I get annoyed watching people like Rachelray and Martha STewart,

Don't let them fool you. They have an enteroge of people behind the scenes who do all the work for them.

My cousin (a 5star chef) had a big run in with Martha (I can't even bear to say her full name) when he was working at a Culinary Arts Academy in New York City. She is a fraud and a fake.

Martha had a staff of over 60 people doing all the work for her. She was loud rude and obnoxious. She gave the school 6 months to gather all of the ingredients she would need. There were some very rare items in her recipe, she would accept NO substitutes. When my cousin searched all over the world for a rare herb and could not find the particular herb, his boss said that he could substitute. Well, Martha didn't like that one darn bit!!

She tore into my cousin like a tiger tearing into a piece of meat. Well, needless to say, the higher-ups of the Academy promptly asked her to leave. Hahaha

Sorry, that wasn't about love being all around you, but when I see Martha's name, I get hot.

I can't watch her show. Maybe because I am not crafty and have to try very hard to be a decent cook - so I can't do a lot of what she is talking about. I am left feeling like some sub-standard wife! So, I just turn it off.

I did get a subscription to her magazine that is supposed to have a lot receipes, well, again - I couldn't cook anything in the book. Some of the stuff that went into it, I had never heard of. And if I have to go searching for ingredients - I don't want to cook it.

Rachel Ray - who has that much energy and isn't on drugs?

Thought I was going to be busy but the call came, I guess the social worker is coming another time. The system here in Oregon is just ridiculous. It makes me want to get my cape on and save the world...

NowWhat
Jul 13, 2007, 10:15 AM
I thought that was pretty much done. As soon as the Mom found a home, the boys were going back.
If anyone can save the world, you can!

startover22
Jul 13, 2007, 10:19 AM
Oh Please, I have a lot of work to do on my own self. These boys need to go with their mom. She will need help along the way. It is funny because the social worker has to at least see the three boys 1 time a month. I have had them longer than that now and she is trying to make up for her mistakes. That is how this whole situation has been from the start. That is why it is such a special case... Thanks Nowwhat.

NowWhat
Jul 13, 2007, 10:29 AM
My husband and I have talked about becoming foster parents. We are both a little nervous because of - well many reasons. One being the whole system. I have heard horror stories. I am sure, in the end the good out weighs the bad. You are doing a great thing - just know that no matter what bs you have to put up with, you are helping put a family back together. And that is worth a whole lot!

startover22
Jul 13, 2007, 10:34 AM
That is what we say too. Thanks. The system is really crazy but that isn't really what it is about, it is about the KIDS involved... My husband and I want to do something a little more organized than this. Like a big ranch or something, my dream... I really do love kids and I really love helping others. My husband would need a lot of vacations though!

NowWhat
Jul 13, 2007, 10:41 AM
My fear would be to get a very angry teenager. Our friends have a girl now that - if you hear her story - you want to cry. She has every right to be messed up. I would be. And, I don't know if I could handle it. Maybe that is why we are still in the talking phase. If I could get kids under 5 - I think I could do it.

Not to change gears, but...

I am currently on the search for a backpack. Has anyone else started school shopping? My daughters backpack last year had a detachable lunch box. It was perfect. Now, I can't find any. Well, gymboree has them again, but they are ugly and don't look as functional as last year's design.
It may drive me crazy. I like to be prepared. I have about a month and a half before school starts. I have got her one outfit. Hopefully she can still wear some stuff from last year.

startover22
Jul 13, 2007, 10:44 AM
What size is she? I am not sure about the back packs but wal mart and target have good selections... Ross?

NowWhat
Jul 13, 2007, 10:57 AM
Well, she is so in between sizes - depending on how it is made she can wear between an 8 or 10.
I like the backpacks at those stores, but I really want to find one that has a detachable lunchbox. Just because she shoves everything down in her bag as it is - that if you put the lunchbox on top of it - I will never figure out what is what.

Well I missed out on like eight conversations. I am glad I am not the only one who is annoyed with people like Martha, Iknew she had to be a fake, and Rachael Ray, yeah is she on coke or what? LOL Anyway, start is so humble, she doesn't see how she affects the world everyday with her unending energy and love for those boys. I have thought many times about being a foster parent but I have to admit it is a little scary. Will my kids feel ignored, resentful, will they be affected negatively? I guess when you do the right thing, it will work out regardless, now that I say those things I realize I am kind of selfish. I know a woman who has been fostering babies for years, usually drug addicted or with some terrible circumstance. She gets to love and care for them, but then when they find a home she has to let them go. She has had over 90 babies, YES! I am so amazed by her ability to love and let go. I don't know how she does it. She says her daughter cries every time one leaves. Although she tries to keep in contact with many of them. People like her and like you start are the unsung heroes of this world. I hope I can do my part sooner rather than later. Sometimes I feel like I am wasting time doing nothing really special. As for school shopping , I am dreading it! I have a ten year old who is also in between sizes. Her waist is narrow, legs are long. I find that Target is always pretty good, but now she is going to middle school, AHHHH! And no more uniforms, it was so much easier that way. I hate her having to be "in fashion" its so distracting from school work and it labels people in a way that I HATE! Well good luck shopping and I am sure you must be so excited to see your daughter. I can't believe we are talking about school and it's a month away already, start and I haven't even had our summer vacation with the kids together yet!!

As far as foster care goes... there are a LOT of things to help with that.

Friends of mine have adopted two girls out of the foster care system. They have problems (the girls, not my friends) but they are slowly overcoming them with the love and structure their parents give them.

I think (though I'm not sure) you can let the foster care system know what you can and can't handle. There are so many kids out there that do NOT have problems that still need a home

I admire anyone that can do foster care. I sometimes think I want to, and other times I shy away from it completely.

We wouldn't really be able to think about it until we get a house, anyway.

You are right Synnen. I think it is all about what we can handle. If you have the desire, that is great, but you know it isn't the right time yet. I feel the same way. Sometimes what we want to do and what we are capable of doing are so different. I am inspired by so many people to help others, I guess we can all do it in one way or another. Love is love, no matter what way we do it right>??

Lyrics from a really great Concrete Blonde song.

If you listen to the ocean
And the rhythm of the rain
And the rhythm of a heartbeat
And ? You again
And you do not see the color
And you do not see the reason
And you do not understand these things
You only know religion
And the wisdom of the ages
Meets the wisdom of the moment
And the future past and present
Is the feeling or the touch
And the walking hand you feel it
And it follows like a wind
And the voices in your ear
Are telling you so much
Some call it Allah
Some call it God
Some call it Buddha
I call it Love
Some call it power
Come from above
Some call it Jesus
I call it Love
When you're guilty of compassion
It's the border of ?
On the international
Binding us together
When the song is all around you
Telling you be free
And the force has finally found you
And it's everything you need
Some call it Allah
Some call it God
Some call it Buddha
I call it Love
Some call it power
Come from above
Some call it Jesus
I call it Love
Some call it Allah
Some call it God
Some call it Buddha
I call it Love
Some call it power
Come from above
Some call it Jesus
I call it Love
Some call it power
Come from above
Some call it Jesus
I call it Love
Some call it Allah
Some call it Jesus

And I've always believed that love, true love--the kind that is without selfishness--should be encouraged no matter where it's found. There's too much hate in this world as it is to discourage love, in any of its forms.

Making some dinner tonight then get to chill and relax. Making homemade Chicken cordon blue. Yummy yummy. Black forest ham wrapped around swiss cheese. Stuffed boneless chicken breast breaded. Mashed potatoes and baked zucchini and onions on the side.

Am I making anybody hungrey??

I am sorry, I do not feel like talking about martha. Janine no wonder why you get so upset with the mention of her.

RachelRay, is she not supposed to be some kind of cook or chef?? Now with her own talk show??

Shattered,

I have been designing food and cooking since the age of 8 or 9. I also started working at a restaurant at 13. It was pretty cool experience. Stressful no matter which part I worked in but my favorite part of learning was helping cooking with the chefs.

NowWhat
Jul 17, 2007, 08:05 AM
I actually just posted a question for ideas with Pork chops. I need some new stuff in the kitchen to dazzle the family!

Things are good here! I am on a job hunt. My husband thinks it is time for me to re-enter the workforce. I guess he is right. Now that she is in school full time - my days get kind of boring. He thinks it would do me good to get out and talk to adults and challenge my brain a little!

startover22
Jul 17, 2007, 08:08 AM
I agree. I am going to be in the same boat. I hate t say it but it does feel good to talk to people our own age and I am going to try and find something so I can be back when school is over. I want to try and have a snack ready and help with any homework that needs to be done... Getting a little job will be great. What do you think you want to do?

NowWhat
Jul 17, 2007, 08:11 AM
Well, I don't know. At this point, I am open to anything. I guess secretarial stuff or Administrative. That is really my background.
I am learning, though, that there isn't a big market for people who have been out of the workforce for 7 years. I have had a couple good (or so I thought) interviews, but no call backs. I don't get it. I would hire me!

startover22
Jul 17, 2007, 08:19 AM
So would I. I am thinking food industries. I made lot's as a waitress and I love people. I got really depressed with my one year of payroll and accounts receivables... I love hanging out and moving around with people... I need to be completely busy.

NowWhat
Jul 17, 2007, 08:22 AM
I have often thought about waitressing. But, I know I would drop food all over people, get the orders wrong and just be fired after one night. I just can't take that kind of disappointment! Plus, I have a low tolerance for people. :)
I actually do well at a desk, in front of a computer. Facts and figures really challenge me. I think I would be perfect for the IRS! :)

Synnen
Jul 17, 2007, 08:34 AM
My suggestion for those out of the workplace for a while is to volunteer.

It shows you can keep to a schedule, can prioritize, and that you're willing to work.

The fear from employers when you've been out that long is that you won't be able to readjust to the work world, and that they'll spend the time and money training you only to have you break under the stress or whatever and quit. Or you'll forget what office politics are like and will not fit in with personalities.

A part time job is a good choice, so it doesn't overwhelm your time and volunteering is always good. I did that a lot before I started working again. LOL Seriously, my friend decided after her first that she wanted no more, she knew what she wanted and she meant it. She got her tubes tied and she is happy with one. Everyone is different. I does get harder but in different ways. It is also more exciting and interesting as they get older. I loved my kids at 5 months, but each year they do something new and I watch them turn into real people. That is very cool. Just be good to yourself. You need time to yourself, be pampered. Get a pedicure, go out with friends, read a book by yourself. I wish I would have known about this site when my kids were babies, it would have helped me feel not so alone. You look great by the way. I think I can keep up.. I might get lost here and there because I drift off into reading questions and answers, but I think I got it :) this site is fun, but it can be frustrating. People like to argue sometimes.. eek. Sometimes it's nice just trying to pass along a positive vibe!

Hey
My favourite saying would have to be what goes around comes around as it somewhat refers to a karmatic lifestyle, and it hit me about 5 years ago when I first heard it. It helped me out big time many times, one for example: I did someone a favour and when I needed a favour, the person I helped was there for me in a flash. I made me who I am... but my mother and best friends have helped me along the way. My friends bring the best/worst out of me. I have no kids, but I am pregnant:). I have recently ended a relationship, and am already moving along and am on my way to something fairly great I think. I am a Christian girl who still holds those values close to her heart, but I also believe in the rules of karma and all that. My teeth I cleaned... my toilet I have not cleaned (eww). I had breakfast and it was very yummy. And startover22 you're right, love IS all around you... :):):)

Hi canada_sweety! Like karma, the Bible says you will reap what you sew. That's how I like to think about it :) you're so right! Congrats on being pregnant! Just recently I started feeling like I want to have baby... but I'm not ready yet.

Ohhh Canada, I am happy for your Pregnancy. And Balloon, I know it is frustrating, you seem to meet people and get involved pretty quick. We all know we have to be careful what we say and how we say it. Remember we are all "real" people so have fun and let the love out... I love reading everyone's questions and answers too. I will need to get back to doing that at some point... Have a great day... Hugs to all! Start
