    Can I break a lease if I've never moved in?
    A relative of mine signed a lease with a student housing. The lease begins in mid August. He has paid the holding fee and the application fee, but not the first month's rent. He has to relocate to another state and cannot honor his lease. Will he be forced to pay the total amount of the lease under the contract? :(

    He needs to contact the lease manager first and find out what their rules are
