Someone please help! The troubles started after tractor sat all winter. When you turn the key, there's nothing, not even clicking.. I turned the key forward and jumped the solenoid and it starts up, then if I turn the key off it shuts off.. I was told it was the solenoid, but first took terminals off solenoid to clean, I accidentally put negative and positive on same post once realizing this a few sparks later I took them off, bought a new solenoid put wiring back on right. Now still doesn't do anything when you turn key, will still turn over when you jump the solenoid but won't start now just turns over... anyone have any advice? As far as what I could have damaged hooking negative and positive terminals together, and what to do next as far as not turning oer by key, oh and by the way I put a brand new battery in it after I hit the terminals together, just to make sure it wasn't damaged??

I have the same issue. I replaced the Solenoid and ready to check the connection at my brake pedal. Must be a loose gound somewhere.
