I just got married and my daughter's real father lives in other state. He chose not to be in her life. I wanted to know how or can my husband adopt my daughter?

I have moved your post to its own thread, the best way to get an answer is not to piggy back it to someone else's thread but to ask your own question. I know it gets a little confusing to start with, but with a little practice you will get the hang of it.

Yes if he will sign over all his rights for adoption, then your husband can adopt. You hire an attorney, who will file the motion in court, get your husband to sign the paperwork and it will go very easy.

I am glad you have a husband willing to be the father, there are many great men like this.
