    Adoption
I am a mother of a child now age 9. I do not know who the paternal father is. The birth certificate has no father name. I have recently got married and my husband would like to adopt my child. What do I do?

Yes the laws vary but you may have to attempt to contact the possible fathers for DNA tests, and or other possible ideas.

Your local court will want to be sure that of course you are not lying ( I know you would not) but that you know the father and just want to do it behind his back. So they will want some protection of the fathers rights.

A local attorney in your area will be needed to help you though it.
