    Soil pipe boss connection
    Hi,
The connection between my cloakroom sink and my soil pipe has sheared off. The obvious fix is to use a solvent welded strap on boss, but, I've got restricted access so it can't be fastened from behind. My plumber tried this and it leaked badly. He said he would seal it, but I think this would only be a temporary solution. Am I correct or is there a permanent sealer I'm not aware of?
Does anyone know where I can get a side fastening strap on boss?
I've tried a push in boss, but this requires a 57mm hole in the soil pipe and the current one is 60mm. I've been told of a boss clamp which will fit inside the soil pipe and can be tightened to hold the boss in place while it bonds (in the manner of a cavity wall screw)-has anyone heard of this?
The only other thing I can think of is to remove a couple of bricks from the outside wall to enable a back fix on the boss.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks
