    What exactly do I need to do to transfer auto title tto my name?
    Do I just need seller's signature and mine on 'Texas certificate of title'---car is free and clear ---both by seller and me--cash deal-----any help appreciated-need help immediately

    Not familiar with TX auto title's but I would think all you need is yours as the buyer and the seller's signature. I would get a bill of sale if you haven't already done so and if you can find the seller now. Check with TX DMV to see what constitutes a legal bill of sale, i.e.. Either two witnesses or two witnesses AND a notary or just a notary?

    Download this form: ftp://ftp.dot.state.tx.us/pub/txdot-...orms/130-u.pdf There is some seller info on it AND the seller must sign the form as well as the title.
