    Orthodontic treatment
    Dear Dentist

Is Orthodontic treatment recommended on physically/Mentally disabled persons?Considering there´s no pain nor decayed teeth,Just a twisted left incisor upper Jaw (6mm space missing)and dental hygiene is good!I am asking this because am scared of the psychological impact of long time treatment. Are Orthodontists allowed to perform this action? When is orthodontic treatment forbidden?
Secondly what might happen if a patient refuses to have his teeth removed (orthodontic reasons) after the local anaesthetic has been injected, so far no dental allergies.

    Greetings

    Greetings
Let me address part of your question:

Professional ethical duty requires that your rights as a patient and a human being be respected. A patient doesn't lose his freedom of choice simply because he's been injected with a local anesthetic. So if you are a sane mentally lucid adult, fully qualified to make responsible decisions and not under institutional care and change your mind, the physician has no right whatsoever in trying to force the procedure on you. Of course that doesn't mean that because he's a physician and knows that he's not supposed to he won't try to override your decision.
