Water heater problem
Hello all,
We purchased a water heater last year. It was working well all these days. But recently my wife said that the water from the water heater is not hot nowadays. It is warm, but not hot. Also, today morning, while I was taking bath, the water smelled liked burnt metal. What could be the possible reason for these problems? I happened to find an article regarding water heater I would like to know whether I'll have to replace my water heater? Does anyone here know any solution for this? |

I agree with Talaniman, I am not sure that you have a gas or electric, the problem with lack of hot water can be resolved by adjusting the thermostat for electric or selecting the water heater gas valve to the hot side, also like Talaniman it is a good idea to call the installer you have warranty on you heater, good luck.

Common problem during winter months. Water heater is fed with very cold water so it works very hard to heat up water to the preset temperature. When in use, as hot water depletes, very cold water enters the heater, mixes with heated water, making in less hot. Also, pipes between hot water heater and bathroom should have insulation
