    What could cause this problem with my water heater?
    I have a State Select water heater model GS650YBRT. The heater gas turned off. We relit the pilot three times. It turned off within minutes after lighting. What would cause this problem?

    Is the pilot supposed to stay lit all the time? If so, the problem is probably a bad thermocouple or dirty pilot burner.
