Water on top of siding door frame in the basement ( during heavy rain and wind)
    Hi ,

During heavy rain with winds , there is water on top of siding door frame ( not too much though) . The builder put fiber glass insulation between siding door frame and wall frame . I pulled the insulaiton and it's wet but, wall frame is not wet. I didn't see any obivious signs on the siding . Few contractors checked roof said roof is fine. It's kind of mystery . Any body can help with the suggestions .

If you can see down the wall cavity, you need better flashing. Insulation in this case is detrimental as it will hold water against the wood.

    Thanks for the reply.

If I put low expandning foam into that gap ( between wood and top of siding door) can it will fix the problem ?

Not sure but worth a try. If this is on the prevailing windside, you will always have an issue. No flashing? Overhang?
