    Is there a reset button on aTrane XB 1000 compressor.

    No. There may be a compressor thermal shut down but it should reset itself. Make sure there is no grass or weeds around the condenser. The heater side MAY have a reset depending on what is wrong. Power? Checked contractor? Checked capacitor?

I came home and the unit did not run. I checked the furnace and it showed that I needed to replace the thermostat. Now that that is done, it says that the heat is fine but to call for service. Is it freon? How do I know where to troubleshoot?
