    The price of arrogance
Some of you may have observed that an Australian politician has just turned a huge majority into a rout and produce a hung parliament and he did this by arrogantly attacking the structure of the Senate and using a constitutional tool designed to break deadlocks, a double dissolution, to call an early election. His gamble has failed. Not only will he continue to face a virilent, resurgent, opposition, but he will have a Senate with well organised independent groups including the resurgent, far right, One Nation. Australia has once again become ungovernable and it is a consequence of arrogance. Last night he slunk from his residence at midnight to address the nation. He could not claim a victory, he could not admit defeat, he has not resigned. Oh, what will he do? This silver tailed turncoat.

The incoming parliament doesn't even have a Budget to guide them, the Budget handed down three days before the election has not passed or even been put to a vote, I feel the ghost of 1975 stalks the halls of parliament agai

Many Politicians are arrogant, lose touch with reality (most actually), and in the end bite off more than they can chew... or get what they want... and find out its not what they expected after all.

    Absolutely pathetic
Federal Election 2016: Hung parliament, what happens now?

Turnbull was pathetic, so there were dirty tricks, that can be handled but he hasn't recognised that the reason for failure was him, he is the one who knifed an elected Prime Minister, he is the one who wouldn't extend the olive branch to that man, he is the one who decided the Senate must be reformed, he is the one who created the means of his own defeat, and he clung on until after midnight in the vain hope that a few more seats would come his way and all he could say was he would form a minority government. No one want to hear that. Disgusting performance. This what you get for being a Turncoat and an opportunist
