    My 91 ford rager w/2.3
Well my? Is I can start my 2.3 but only will run for a few seconds then dies and back fires every time when it idles it sounds like it is bogged down no pressure iscoming out of tale pipe what so ever when it dies it puffs out white/blue color smoke after the backfire it also takes a few seconds to start while cranking it over I have changed the coil pack on the exhaust side about two weeks ago .

White/blue would be oil smoke or antifreeze sometimes, what does the smoke smell like, burnt oil or a sweet smell. Sweet would mean a leaky gasket etc, or if its oil that would mean either the head may be cracked or it broke a ring etc. now I have seen them blow rings, run fine for a minute then boom and they start using oil immediately.
