My name is asad and I want to ask whether I could use a temporary art of tattoos to write a name on my arm . Is it halal or haram .

If you are asking for religious reasons, ithe is prohibited to put in know on your skin {it does not specify real or temporary}. However, as long as you are not allergic to the paint chemical compounds or adhesive - depending on the type; there would be no medical reasons not to do so.

Agreed, the issue is, that it says not to. The idea of a temporary was perhaps not available at the time of the writing. Also in Islam there is not "one" set of rules (sadly) since there are many sects of Islam that have different interpretation of the rules.

It would be best to discuss this with the local religious leaders. My personal feeling, is that since the temporary is a imitation and tends to represent the real. It would be, since it is in the spirit that it is done.
