New ceiling fan light is dim?
New ceiling fan light is dim in kitchen? Not sure why. Seem to work but dim. Fan works just fine. Just installed same fan in dining room and works great. The kitchen has 3 way switch's. Light will come on strong then dim within seconds. Any ideas ? Thanks

All new fans have light wattage limiters in them. Cannot exceed 120 watts so check the bulb rating. Thank the EPA for this one. BTW, You Tube has videos on bypassing the limiters.

Please do not remove or bypass the wattage limiters. Doing so will void any warranty (if there is any left on the product).

A wattage limiter is there for a purpose other than an extreme annoyance. It prevents a high current and keeps the heat that gets generated by the current at a safe level.

If you have one fan that works the way you want it to and one that will not, it's most likely a defect in the fan. I'll speculate that if both fans have a so-called wattage limiter and one works fine, it's a problem with the fan. Any chance it has a dimming feature? If not... take it back.
