I began to have a sore, irritated area just below my urethral opening about 2 days ago. No itching or pain when I urinate. I tried a cortisone vaginal anti itch cream but that burned and made the pain worse. Then I tried Monistat which also made the problem worse. Now the area is bleeding when I wipe after urination. I am trying no soap in the area, cotton underwear and loose clothing. Ice or cold packs feel better but the pain returns. I am type 2 diabetic with my sugars under control. No bladder infection or STD - tested for both recently at my doctor's office. What is the fastest way to clear this up??

It sounds like you have the major bases covered beyond a check up. Let the area breath and balance itself out.
