    I flushed the toilet the water ran more than usual then the tank drained,didn't refil
    At first the water left filling the tank, no the tank is empty?

    Water KEPT filling tank, NOW tank is empty.

    Lift the lid, your flapper is likely stuck in the up position. If that is the case knock it down and let the tank fill, then lengthen the chain connecting the flush handle arm and the flapper.
