Hi mike, just use bigger pipe wrenches (2), what size are you using now?

To remove a plug you can try using an appropriately sized 1/2" drive socket with a persuader (piece of pipe) on the ratchet and see if that helps.

Otherwise, you can use a wrench to remove the fitting the plug is in and then replace the fitting... right?

Let us know how you make out, OK?

I would go with the socket and a breaker bar myself.

Or a Rigid alum pipe wrench/with a pipe cheater,

And keep a NICE hammer handy to start the process. The good thing about rigid wrenches is you can use one to beat the other. If the whole thing turns, you have to back it up with a pipe wrench

Tightening, or LOOSENING is the same process, different direction.

Use 2 large wrenches. The bigger the wrench, the easier it will break the grip
