    Replace Baystat240 Thermostat
I want to Replace a Baystat 240 3AAT80B1A1 with a White-Rodgers 1F89-211 but I am not sure how to wire it. I have attached a pic of my Baystat, along with a link for the WR Thermostat. Thanks! Name: 152.JPG

Open up your furnace and find the thermostat wires. Let us know what color wire is attached to what terminal.

First, I changed to a Honeywell RTHL2510/RTHL2410 Series since the White-Rodgers stat was not programmable.

Okay... here goes! I have no clue where the wires go in the Central Electric Furnace 3500A812 . There are two sets of thermostat wires and both blacks and one green is not used. I noticed the blue and the green thermostat wires are connected to 3500-5841 AC Control Pkg, and the yellow wires on that pkg are cut. I do have a heat pump.

The terminals for the Honeywell are B, O ,G, Y, W/AUX, NOT USED, R, RC The R and RC have a jumper wire.

Enclosed are some pics... thanks for your help!

The pic's are so large I can't make any sense out of them. Is there a terminal strip in the furnace?

Holy smokes, you are right! Can you possibly save them and view them, or CTRL -

And where would I find the terminal strip? Is it behind the panel where the Sequencer is?

Tried to save them and view, failed. The more I looked I don't think the furnace has a terminal strip.

It may not. The heat pump is a Trane TWR036C100A1... 1993 and the furnace is a Coleman 3500A812. I don't know. The way I understand it, the O and B is for the reversing valve, and the new thermostat says NOT to connect the B if there is a separate O wire. I don't know, seems kind of odd since the B wire is what is connected to the AC Pkg. I will also leave the Black wire disconnected since it was not connected on the BAYSTAT240. I kind of have a feeling everything may have to be replaced soon. Hopefully it will get me through the winter. I had a technician out here last year on New Year's Eve and NY day and he replaced the Sequencer, and Defroster. I have several burned wires and he told me not to be concerned about them... well, I am concerned!
