    Washer dryer plumbing
I want to move my existing downstairs washing machine to my upstairs kitchen. I plan on tying the outgoing plumbing to my kitchen plumbing. There is a vent on my roof for my kitchen sink. My washing machine will be about 10 feet away from the sink. Will I need another vent on roof dedicated to the washing machine only and does the trap need to be any different than my downstairs trap?

Your washer hook up will remain the same. However, 10 foot'
S put of code. If AAVs are aloud I would install in place of a roof vent. Good luck, Tom

Yeah, you don't need a dedicated vent, per say... could add a vent and connect it into the kitchen sink vent just before it exits the roof, or, as Tom suggested, if mechanical vents are allowed (AAVs) you can install that at the Ptrap. If you go with the AAV, see the picture below for basics... ;)
