    Missed period, brown discharge and slight pain in the uterus. What is wrong with me?
    I'm 18 and I recently began having protected sex. I missed my period last month and took a pregnancy test 2 weeks later and it was negative, yesterday I noticed a brown discharge and I haven't been well lately but I have no pregnancy signs, something seems off with my body. I've been stressed since I missed my period. Could there be something wrong with me or am I pregnant?

    It could be that you're pregnant. You didn't say what birth control you were using so depending on what it is you could fail. With most hormonal birth control, whether they're pills, rings, patches, or what not, you will not be protected the first month. The hormone needs to get to a certain level before it prevents ovulation. So if you didn't use a secondary barrier method of birth control than you could still have been impregnated. Speaking of barriers, if you used condoms there is a failure rate and a "Improper use" rate that could cause pregnancy as well. If there is a small tear, or it broke than there is a chance.

    There could be other factors like stress that is delaying your period, illness could as well. There are also some pregnancy that aren't detected until well into it. If this doesn't pass in a week or so I would talk to your OB/GYN. Get a blood test.
