    What the heck Shower Drain
I'm trying to figure out what kind of shower drain I have. As you can see it's pretty rusted so trying to see I can replace it or if I have to replace the entire shower What kind of drain is this and can it be replaced? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks (let me know if a better picture would help)

That lifts and turns to open or close, right? If so, that is actually a roman tub drain assembly someone used for your shower...see image below.

You may actually be able to find a replacement cover. I would suggest that you take your picture to a local plumbing supply showroom and work with a salesperson to see if they can match a replacement part for you! Bring pictures with the drain assembly in both the open and closed positions.

Hope that gets you headed in the right direction!!
