    Honeywell RTH 5100B
    I'm trying to use this thermostat to replace an old round mercury thermostat. I have only a white and red wire coming out of the wall. Where to I connect these 2 wires?

    This is a heat or AC only. Red to R and White to W. Actually you can connect them backwards, in this situation it will work.
