Rust colored water showing up in back left corner of basement, no leaky pipes
I have rust colored water showing up in the back left corner of my basement, I've run the washer and every faucet in the house, flushed the toilet but I can't find any leaky pipes. Every morning there is a 3' puddle of water waiting for me. All I've done is mop up the water and run a dehumidifier because I can't find the source of the leak. I'm 31 and I live in Erie County NY.

Any heavy rains lately? Pump or city water? What material are the pipes? Copper, galvanized, or plastic? Does the water pool up in a low spot? Can you give any more information? Back to you, Tom

I have an 80 year old house, and have lived here 28 years. We have never had water in the basement (other than when the sewer cleanout needed cabling). Suddenly we have water (flowing the last 3 days!). No leaky pipes, no backed up drains. Before we knew the water was still coming in we had the...
