    Installing a thermostat with the 3 wires?
    Im installing a new thermostat, there are only 3 wires red, white and green. Am I right that the green wire is for the grounding. What are the red and white for.

    Low voltage Control wiring for thermostat. Red to R, white to W. How was the old wiring connected or is this a totally new install.

Actually, I know I shorted it! I was installing a ritetemp therostat. C-Blue G-Green Y-Yellow W-White R-Red It seemed pretty straight forward.
