    Bathroom sink stopper?
    Is there such a thing as a universal part for a bathroom sink stopper or must you order by brand?

    Are you talking about the pop-up? With few exceptions, they are interchangeable.

    Actually, nowadays, there are so many different manufacturers that pop-up parts are really NOT interchangeable anymore...very much brand specific! What brand name/type do you have??

My sink stopper doesn't not open well. The lever handle moves a little but does not affect the stopper much. Please advise:)

My sink stopper is closed shut with standing water. The stopper lever goes up and down but does not open the stopper. I have tried prying it open unsuccessfully. Do I need to remove the trap under the sink to drain the water and manually open the stopper? Thanks for any direction!
