    Pregnancy after tubes tied
    My period was over a week late and only lasted about 3 days. I had my tubes tied about 5 years ago but I am showing all the signs of pregnancy but haven't taken the test could I be pregnant.

    Hi lovemlots1980,

    Although usually having your tubes ties is considered a permanent form of birth control, there can be situations when a pregnancy may occur. The odds of it happening will depend on how the procedure was done and how long it has been. It is more likely that you just had an off cycle, but try a pregnancy test. If you were to be pregnant, you would want to know as soon as possible. If you aren't pregnant, it will ease your mind.
