    Female circumcision. Please help
When I was 8, I have gone under female circumcision. But I must have been so traumatized that I couldn't remember what has happened. Recently, I have been with a partner who said he can't see my clitoris. I have fallen off with my mother who said I have gone under type one fgm which means the removal of the prepuce and not the clitoris. I'm too scared to ask a doctor and find out that I have no clitoris, therefore, I will describe what I have.

Standing, its pretty much flat down there. But when laying on my back, I can feel a small lump almost like. I have looked at some pictures online and I'm pretty much very flat compared to those pictures. Also, above my urethra hole and where the two labia mainora meet, there is some sort of a hole almost*NOT urethra* and if I really pull the very little skin that I have, and which covers the clitoral shaft, I can see a very tiny red almost swollen like ball. Its all red and not covered with anything and even smaller than the size of a pea!

I have always thought I had a clitoris but can you please help me? I'm too scared to go to a gynecologist and find out the harsh truth in person. As I would literally fall on the floor.

What do you think? Please help!

You really do need to go to a Gynecologist. You should be getting annual pap smears and other things to assure your health.

FInding out for sure is NOT going to be worse than finding out at some point you developed a life threatening condition because you were afraid to see a specialist over something only your mom, your partner and the doctor would even know about.

You need to find out if there are other complications from the procedure. Scar tissue or nerve damage can interfere with pregnancy or menopause if not before. There are worse things than the mutilation.

    Thank you for your answer.
So I went to my doctor, and he said that only the prepuce was partially removed(hoodectomy) and that its not a bad thing as a lot of women are having plastic surgeries to get it done.
What worried him and he wasn't certain of, is whether to say oart of my clitoral glans has been removed.
He could see it, but he said it was very small(almost less than 1cm in width)
Is it normal to have a clitoral glans this tiny?how is it possible to remove part of the clitoral glans without removing it all??

Some women have very tiny little ones... a rare few have clitorises so large they resemble a tiny little penis. (I'm being serious), everyone else falls somewhere between the two extremes.

Don't worry about it... if you are able to give yourself an orgasm... odds are its all there and working. (thought a few women are capable of orgasming without ANY clitoral stimulation what-so-ever). Ex girlfriend... saw it myself... its not a myth.

You've probibly hears the old saying...its not the size of the boat...but the motion of the ocean......that applies to clitoris size as well.

    Really thank you for replying.
What worries me is, I can't orgasam from just oral. Its very hard for me and which is why I was scared I might not have a clitoris lol
If I touch myself down there, I can feel a weird sensation immediately and few minutes later my feet would shake as if its an orgasam and I would have to stop straight away because I would get too sensitive.
What else shock s me is, I don't even or get wet after having such an orgasam by just rubbing the clitoris.
I do squirt however with intercourse and clitoris stimulation at the same time!
    Is that normal?? :S

Every woman is different in how they respond to stimulous and to what stimulous. Meaning its very easy for some... very difficult for others. And no two women like the exact same thing the same exact way.

As far as oral... the other person plays a huge factor in this... certainly your mind has to be in the right place... but they also have to have a clue as to what they are doing (no its not intuitive) and know you and what you like well enough or you are never going to hop on the right train at the station.

If you are stressed out... its going to be a huge hindrance on your part. And It sounds like you might have been over this issue.
