    W2 box 16 is 1.8 Time Higher than box 1
    Hi ,
    I worked 2 months in California and the rest in Mississippi for the same employer, in 2014, I am a resident of California.
    My W2 box 1 shows 60k , box 16 shows CA 60K , MS 48K . Was
    My W2 done correctly ? If it is , How do I file income tax for CA ? By using 60K or 12k (60K - 48K).

    Obviously, the employer has you as a full-time resident of California who is only working temporarily in Mississippi. You can correct that when you file the California return as a part-year employee. Be prepared to provide the Mississippi tax return as proof that you paid them the taxes on the $48K.
