    What could the black spots in my water be?
    Tom,
    You seem to know something about the problem I'm having. We have these black particles. At the washing machine, the hot water side had far more than the cold. A LOT more, but some found at cold too. Had a water softner put in. Water discoloration solved but the particles remain. Do not have any galvanized water lines, all PVC and Pex. What could it be??

    Iron flecks. Install a whole house filter.
