    Check enging light is on 2006 Honda Civic. What does it mean
    My daughter is driving the car on the highway and the check engine light comes on. All seems to be visually OK. What should we do, if anything

    That means something is wrong and you need to check the computer for codes. Those will tell you what the problem is.

    Attach a code reader to the 16-pin Data Link Connector, located under the dash board on the driver's side, and turn the ignition switch to ON.
