    Can I use a 3000w / 240v water heater element for a 3500w / 240v one
I already replace the top element which was a 4500w / 240v bolt on element. But can not find a 3500w / 240v bolt on element but found a 3000w / 240v bolt on element and just wanted to know if I can use the 3000w one.

Yes, you can use the lower wattage element...will just take a little longer to heat/recover from use is all!
